    Close. Newcastle I reckon.

Fantastic final. Been largely front foot snooker.

    United Thread - 2023/24

Spewing the same bollocks as to when he first started. He’s brought half the Eredevise with him so surely they should be ‘committed’ as he knew them before. Guy is absolutely winging it, they are going to get battered by Spurs today, as they always do when they come up against a team with a...

Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

2 points off top and Erling and KDB haven’t played a game together this season… That was sensational, the rest of the league just shat the bed.

Agree. Went to the Carter vs Williams game on Monday. Had tickets for the Wednesday and ended up selling them as it was a total nightmare getting home. Enjoying the tournament a lot though.

    Last Film You Saw

Watched the new Indiana Jones, thought it was pretty good, touches of the old magic and ridiculousness. Good time of year for adventure films and a bar of choccy. Harrison Ford is really strong in it, he’s been great in carrying reprised roles in Star Wars, Blade Runner and now this in his...

Birmingham City Thread - 2023/24 | Rooney sacked after 15 games

Sure Sky will ‘sign’ him on as a pundit to sit alongside the other clueless failed rag **** managers on super duper Sunday.

    Cole Palmer

That second goal was incredible. Remember one of the first things I saw of Cole was him playing bounce passes in the youth team, that goal once again shows his ability. Was sad to see him go as it felt like this was going to be his season with Mahrez gone. It is so far looking like he was...

    João Palhinha

We don’t really need young and potential for that position, we need someone who can come in and hit the ground running, know the league and cover / play alongside Rodri. Palinha is a player we should be looking at, we can sign potential or develop an academy / youth product into the first team...

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

Love the guy. Almost every single touch he turned to go forward, absolutely has to play centrally for us from here on, it shouldn’t even be a debate.

Like watching prime Stoke. Hoof into the mixer + the occasional composed final ball.

The players we are now without compared to the ones that started last season is shocking. KDB, Haaland, Dias, Stones and then throw in Gundogan, Mahrez, Laporte and Cancelo, we are unrecognisable from where we were.

Excited for the composure Akanji will bring to the midfield now…

    João Palhinha

Absolutely the player we should be signing in January. Knows the league and would have the best chance of hitting the ground running which is what we need.

Would rather we sign Peter Andre.

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2023/24

I put it in the March day thread moments before he helped break the deadlock. But there is a player there, he was unbelievably positive, broke the lines many times and always made the runs to do it. He’s got a very good reading of the game. Feel he needs to bulk up a little much in the same...

My timing on this was alright. He caused that by breaking the line.

I like Nunes. Think there’s a real player in there, tries to make things happen and break the lines, also takes up good positions. Bit more upper body strength like Rodri has built up and he could be very good for us.
