    True, cockney slang is incomprehensible

    Half and Half Scarves

It's a kids thing right? Most of the people I see wearing them have kids with them.

I fear not. To be honest, I might be wrong on the author but it definitely existed. Do you remember that twat who used to own financialfairplay.com and made up a bunch of horseshit about us then deleted it when it was shown he was talking shite? It was during that era. Think he was called Ed. I...

Present Day Football, Fans and Any Other Stuff You Hate About It!

I'm a generation younger than you mate, and what you're putting down to a difference in how people engage with football is what I put down to twats. There are plenty of 16-30 year old lads/lasses in the stadium who aren't filming reactions. It's not a generational thing, it's an attention...

    Khaldoon's End of Season Review | Pt 1 (p26) | Pt 2 (p40)

He's got a point tbf. There has been a drop off in terms of fluidity in the last year or so but the mentality has carried us through. However the difference in our opinions is that I don't see this as a systemic issue but instead an extraordinary one. We've had so much bad luck go against us in...

    Khaldoon's End of Season Review | Pt 1 (p26) | Pt 2 (p40)

I'm told I'd make a fortune on the after dinner circuit. This is a fairly recent non-City Khaldoon interview to get some perspective on what he does outside of his once a year interviews. Watching the American sort of desperately ask for more UAE investment is vaguely funny

    Khaldoon's End of Season Review | Pt 1 (p26) | Pt 2 (p40)

I think this is also the interview where he talks about his name. For many years, his name has always been something like Hal-doon with the aspirated haitch sound at the back of the throat that you get in Arabic. Like "hat" without a t. But since he's been coming to Manchester, his name has...

    Khaldoon's End of Season Review | Pt 1 (p26) | Pt 2 (p40)

I'll have to dig out an interview he did with someone who is on the board at the Carlyle Group who he shares links with. He starts talking about global investment opportunities, American politics in the Trump era, the pressure of West vs East against the UAE, the failures of globalism etc...

    Khaldoon's End of Season Review | Pt 1 (p26) | Pt 2 (p40)

City are current reigning Champions of the PL and were unbeaten until 6 weeks ago despite huge injuries. This hindsight based reasoning isn't gelling with me tbh

    Khaldoon's End of Season Review | Pt 1 (p26) | Pt 2 (p40)

I'm sure his reply would be "since I became Chairman, City have gone from midtable to become a dominant club in world football and we're going to continue to do that for decades to come and a month of bad results isn't even on our radar in terms of long term planning with this football club"...

Manchester City releases 2023-24 Annual Report | Record £715m revenue, profit of £73m

I can't back this up but I once read an article that I cannot find now, that stated that between 1985 and 2014, Manchester United would have failed modern (UEFA) FFP 4 times. I'm 80% sure it was by Paul Tomkins.
