Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

i like Rico, he's a young kid who's played himself into the first XI of a very successful team. I think he's a hard worker and gets pushed around every game i see him play due to his size. I don't think ive ever really seen him shirk out of anything? but i grant he's far from a strong player...

    82 | Rico Lewis - 2024/25

Lewis is decent enough but he looks a bit jaded and, for me, really needs a little time away from the XI, i think he's coming across a bit bewildered.

    Pep Guardiola - 2024/25

usual caveats we seem to need to not be called a bed wetter etc: Pep's the best we've had, im so grateful etc etc and on and on I still dont understand why the defensive line is permanently so high? anyone figured this out yet?

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2024/25

yes, this is certainly an issue that has to be addressed. but equally, Haaland's movement in the box at Anfield was poor. If you look at the times Doku had it out wide, he did very little to make those 3 or 4 yard runs into space, especially the near post, he just stood like a statue at times...

    Decent City Bets 24/25

A sad, but profitable day. I think it's time to halt, Forest looks unpredictable.

Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

Ah well, not to worry. Disappointing. Interesting to watch with a Saints fan who said we've become them, matching teams for possession with zero threat up top and a catalogue of mistakes in the back line. I couldn't disagree, that's exactly what we were today. It'd be really interesting to...

    Liverpool (A) - Sun 1st Dec, 16:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

I admire/pity your positivity, good for you to stay chipper. But I think the bear lion has been poked a fair few times lately and it didn't react, so Spurs took a shit on it and Feyenoord gave it a reach around. But I really do hope you're right!

    Liverpool (A) - Sun 1st Dec, 16:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

given the lack to our central midfield, and the startlingly different trajectories of confidence in the 2 teams, i find that fact that bookies have Liverpool to win this match less than 1 in 2 times quite amazing actually. I think we'll struggle, unfortunately.

    Atmosphere 2024/25

i didnt enjoy the sheer number of Feyenoord fans in and around home blocks. Very irritating. Still, if the system is in place for them to get them, and the pricing is keeping home fans away....

I don't really know what the central midfield will look like. This is going to be so difficult.

    Decent City Bets 24/25

After not betting against City in either the Spurs or Feyenoord games, I'm afraid I took the plunge with Liverpool, prior to tonight I placed £100 @ 2.26 , 3 days ago, on a Liverpool win. Now trading 2.16. That's still odds against. City might win, they might nick it, but I'm more than happy...

    The Title Race - 2024/25

I think more City fans write off City, than fans of other teams. Fans of other teams seem to have been badly scarred by our huge winning streaks. This season we look frail, but I am in no way ruling out a good push in the new year, we've just got to make sure the gap doesn't get out of hand.

    Feyenoord (H) - Tues 26th Nov, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

I appear to be staying in the same hotel as Feyenoord.... I'll try and slip something into their porridge

I was impressed how much people around me celebrated us losing. Felt good.

    82 | Rico Lewis - 2024/25

He probably needs a couple of weeks off, he's going through the ringer a bit

    Spurs (H) - Sat 23rd Nov, 17:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

If you're namesake is firing, it re-instills fear in teams willing to have a go at us this season, leaving nice big Kevin shaped holes

sci-fi & fantasy films and tv series

Even then I thought it was quite slow going, not always a bad thing, but season 1 was on the edge a bit. Season 2 seems to have started even slower.... anyway I quite like it.

Looks like Silo series 2 is going to slow the story down even more.

    Spurs (H) - Sat 23rd Nov, 17:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Spurs will look for wide runners to latch onto channel balls, that's been a repeat pattern for us this season, so I expect to see Werner, Kulysevski and B Johnson to be exploring that area a bit. Our soft-ish middle, their softish defence, could be a really good game today. 3-2 City, do them...
