Everton (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Releived to escape with a point in injury time. Everton clean through a couple of times thankfully messed up a 4 v 1 on edge of penalty area. Where was the City defence?

    Media discussion - 2024/25

Blimey. Thankfully we didn't murder 39 Italians and get all English clubs banned from the champions league for 5 years. Even more severe punishment and media hatred I'd expect.

For the 2nd goal I thought Kovacic and maybe Lewis(?) did actually try to tackle' block or foul Rodgers but were just not physically capable of doing so. :-(

    Savings

OK. Is it an employer scheme? The funds would typically be invested in the "default fund" uness you switch it. Default funds are typically cautious and make modest returns. I would not have expected any losses in the last couple of years. You can switch to riskier funds. A simple tracker with...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

'Have hated them since their fucking mid-week wembley win, and nothing they have done or achieved ( or more like not-achieved ) has changed my opinions of the club or their fans. Entitled and deluded beyond belief." That's just brilliant' sir.

    The Labour Government

I said much the same to the wife when it was breakfast news. She conceded that I may have a point. She certainly had no sympathy with the Waspi women.

From the 46th until the 87th minute to be more precise.

    "Wayne Rooney's Plymouth Argyle''

Hmm. "Wayne Rooney's Struggling Plymouth?" "Struggling Wayne Rooney's Plymouth" would more accurate. Or maybe "Fat scouse rag granny shagging Struggling Wayne Rooney's Plymouth" would be most appropriate.

    Europa/Conference League | Gameweek 5 | 28 Nov '24

As explained by drone sector. It's always been like that, even before VAR. It can be seen in real time without VAR.

    Europa/Conference League | Gameweek 5 | 28 Nov '24

It was relatively simple before cameras and computers could be used to measure precisely (maybe to within +/- 0.001") the players positions.

I think so. I don't know how semi or how automatic it is and what tolerances are used to determine level or not. Maybe some manual trigonometric calculations are required as well.

I agree, it appears as though Hoilands head is ahead of the ball. However, if one spent some time drawing a vertical line on this particular 2d picture, from his head to the grass, it could possibly be shown to be behind the ball. One could spend several hours drawing lines from various parts...

Or the "comprehensive body" of it is very comprehensive.

A genuine possibility to replace Gundogan in midfield with Pannick.

Which 4 players would you have brought off the bench to replace the entire midfield?

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

That's it in a nutshell "making it up as they go along". FFP, PSR, FMV, APT, RP, shareholder loans at 0%, £105 million over 3 years, net spend, transfer amortisation, blah fuckin blah. Never heard of all this bollocks until City won the league. What happened to football?

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Just imagine if Amoron held a training session this morning and some players ran across a field 4 times. Re Simon Stone report on BBC... '....in possession and attacking, FOUR times, players were shown chasing back hard ....'

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

And how did English football survive for so many decades before the barely intelligible financial regulations were concocted?
