    York away

Only trip to York to watch Fleetwood in the play offs, great evening out. Another great old ground sadly gone. A few weeks after City's York loss went to see them away at Wimbledon in the cup, didn't go to Bpool away the week after despite working a quarter of a mile away.

    City football shirts everywhere

Fleetwood has always had massive United support but the younger generation seem to be more into Liverpool. Fear a very hard season ahead for the Cods. But as I have watched my home town since Lancashire Combination days, can cope with most things.

One for the oldies like me (1983/84 season)

Was that the season Derek Parlane got a hat trick as we beat Blackburn 6 0. Working in Blackpool got a lot of stick after the cup defeat. Didn't mind off genuine seasides but was pissed off when rags and dippers took the piss as they usually laughed at Blackpool fans.

North stand v South Stand iconic moments

David Whites off the cross bar against the dippers in 91?, putting us two up on a boiling hot night in August. We won 2 1 and Saunders missed a penno.

Not tolerated in any other sport ? Do you not remember Keane and Co menacing the referee any time a decision didn't go their way at the swamp.

    Mexican wave

Self and mates would delight in sitting on our hands and not joining in during test matches at OT. If any body tried to get us to join in they would be told to f**k off which they did. Entertainment for sad dickheads who never went to cricket but would turn up for the occasion.

    Juventus (N) - Thu 26th June, 20:00 | CWC | Pre-Match Thread

Remember in the mid 70s both ourselves and the rags played Juve in consecutive rounds of the UEFA cup. They knocked the rags out and kicked them to death the press were outraged. The next round they kicked shit out of us and knocked us out the press didn't say a dicky bird. The more things...

Shame to see the Hotspur press burn down. Always stuck in memory on the bus from Aytoun St to Maine Road

Best player from our doldrums years (1980 to roughly 2009)

Sean Goater, his humiliation of Gary Neville alone makes him a City legend. His goals in the 2nd half of 98 99 season and throughout the 99 2000 season brought our club back to life. Also shout out to Andy Morrison he brought steel back into the side not seen since the days of Watson and Doyle.

Manchester is Lancashires largest City and spiritual heart. Whatever that c**t Heath did and his Tory bastard mates, Lancashire will always be everything from the Mersey to the Duddon. Try and tell folk in Bolton , Wigan or even Barrow their not Lancashire. Our cricket teams HQ is in Manchester...

Congratulations Billy Boston on a long overdue knighthood. Now let them Knight Kevin Sinfield, both men deserve it vastly more than Beckham. For once BBC did the right thing and gave Sir Billy the coverage he richly deserves.

Do you have a favourite ever goal?

That was a year earlier, we finished runners up that season, 77 78 think we finished 4th.

Do you have a favourite ever goal?

Personal favourite Joe Royle versus the dippers October 77. 48 years ago seems like yesterday.

Why is there not a statue of Yaya?

If we have to have statues would like to see one of Andy Morrison and the Goat. Those two men picked City up off the floor and made possible the club we are today. Never forget where we have come from.

Why is there not a statue of Yaya?

Won us the FA cup in 2011 and a major contribution to winning the league a year later. For this alone he is a legend, but does a statue really matter, I don't think so.
