I'm a touch confused by your response. I was referring to multiple people crawling all over the pit lane whilst the race was going on, not the idea that a team runs long on one set of tyres and waits until the last lap before pitting for the mandatory change.

I saw the Sky coverage, it was how that came to pass that I was querying.
