    Josko Gvardiol

Surely this would mean Laporte has found another club? I doubt we are signing him until Laporte goes.

Yup. I fear he could become a Eden Hazard type of albatross around our neck.

    Declan Rice

I rate him. But think we'll need some creativity in our team as well no?

According to Sam Lee, Walker likely to go? I know he is 33, but would be gutted. Still think he has a year left in him.

Let's hope they go big for the likes of Havertz. I don't mind that at all.

I'm not the one he needs to convince, Pep is. Pep has seen him in action for a year now. And if that report is true, Pep has seen enough to evaluate his capability.

He might be. But that is not going to make him succeed here is it? Positioning/making himself available to teammates, the ability to keep and pass the ball accurately under pressure etc....are much more important.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

We aren't a club that just gives up on players easily. So if this is true, it means Pep has concluded that he probably doesn't have the qualities to succeed under him. That is concerning.

    Josko Gvardiol

I think this video illustrates why Pep wants him. He is perfect for that Left-sided role Ake/Akanji played this season. Also could potentially do what Stones does as well. Higher ceiling than Laporte.

Such a shame we missed out on Bellingham. With Bellingham and Kovacic we wouldn't have to worry about the situations with Gundogan and Bernardo.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

True. If we can shift players in their late 20s or 30s like Laporte, Mahrez and Bernardo (if he wants to leave) for decent fees, and then replace them with younger players of similar quality and high potential. That is very healthy for the club long-term. My only concern is whether we can find...

    Pep Guardiola - 2022/23

The greatest manager of all time, and it's not even close.

Imagine we have a killer summer window after winning the treble? I would love it.

Getting a good fee and a replacement for Mahrez at his age would be great. I don't want to be in a situation where we have to replace Mahrez, KDB, Gundogan in the same summer. We have to start early.

Even if this results in Foden moving central, i don't see any world class right-wingers on the market. Or am i missing someone?

Don't see many great alternatives to Bellingham on the market. I don't think Rice is a similar type. Kovacic adds ball retention, we need a creative midfielder.

    Jude Bellingham

He has quite clearly chosen Madrid. If he had chosen us, we'd be the ones negotiating.

    Mateo Kovacic

Would be very awkward after Phillips recent quotes about coming back pre-season fit and staying another 5 years. :)

Kovacic like 30m max + Guerreiro on a free. We might be Net Spend FC a second year in a row. Hopefully it works as well as this year. :)

As a Phillips replacement i can get behind this. But replacing Bernardo or Gundogan? Plz no. :(
