He might be. But that is not going to make him succeed here is it? Positioning/making himself available to teammates, the ability to keep and pass the ball accurately under pressure etc....are much more important.

We aren't a club that just gives up on players easily. So if this is true, it means Pep has concluded that he probably doesn't have the qualities to succeed under him. That is concerning.

I think this video illustrates why Pep wants him. He is perfect for that Left-sided role Ake/Akanji played this season. Also could potentially do what Stones does as well. Higher ceiling than Laporte.

True. If we can shift players in their late 20s or 30s like Laporte, Mahrez and Bernardo (if he wants to leave) for decent fees, and then replace them with younger players of similar quality and high potential. That is very healthy for the club long-term. My only concern is whether we can find...

Don't see many great alternatives to Bellingham on the market. I don't think Rice is a similar type. Kovacic adds ball retention, we need a creative midfielder.
