United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

First off winning a derby is always brilliant. It always feels good. Especially as losing them stings so badly. Thought there was a lot of good there yesterday. Phil, Haaland, Doku and the back 4 and keeper were great. Rodri is still getting back to it so he wasn’t his imperious best. Reijnders...

    United (H) - Sun 14th Sept, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

We really really can’t afford to lose tomorrow. 3 defeats in 4 would see hovering over the drop zone. While will no doubt improve the optics aren’t great. No idea how we’ll setup tomorrow, though in recent times the happier our online fan base are with the starting team the worse we do. We...

Injuries 2025/26 | Guardiola confirms that Stones is injured again (p40)

He does like working with a small squad but at the moment we have 17 foreign players, 3 club trained players and 4 association trained players. The only players that are unlikely to be used are Ortega and Phillips. Bertinelli will likely get done bench time like Carson.

Injuries 2025/26 | Guardiola confirms that Stones is injured again (p40)

I’d say Ait Nori and Lewis have a reasonable chance of being fit. Wouldn’t fully rule out Khusanov or Stones yet. Savinho might be back. Doubt Foden will be available as he was apparently due for a scan on his ankle. Gvardiol’s injury is a bit of a mystery.

True but we always concede penalties against them when he refs. No conspiracy as they are fair calls but it’s a bad omen for the weekend.

    United (H) - Sun 14th Sept, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Probably both teams this weekend! If it is Donnarumma starting hopefully we don’t have a repeat of Bravo’s debut. Don know if he ever recovered from it.

Probably means we need to score at least twice to win. We always manage to concede a penalty when he refs the derby and in fairness they usually are penalties.

    United (H) - Sun 14th Sept, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Trying to work out who is and isn’t fit for Sunday is a little tricky. By my rough calculations on who is still on international duty we have Donnarumma, Trafford, Dias, Bernardo, Bobb, Haaland and Marmoush still to play again. Only Donnarumma plays today, the rest plat tomorrow evening...

Using our network of City Football Group clubs

There’s something very iffy about Strasbourg and Chelsea. Some of their dealings are ridiculous and Strasbourg’s late collapse when competing for the champions league spots is more than a little suspicious.

    It's Quiet the £250m return

As I said I haven’t seen much of them but I know the likes of Mukasa, McAidoo, Reigan Heskey and Mfuni are highly rated. There are two problems for academy players trying to make it, first our first team are of an incredibly high standard so getting in is very difficult. Second we might...

    It's Quiet the £250m return

I don’t get to watch the academy but people who do say last youth team are amongst the best we’ve ever had. Perhaps that’s a factor in our transfer business. Ordinarily in a preseason tour done of the lads may have featured but as we only had one preseason friendly we only saw Mukasa. With...

    It's Quiet the £250m return

I’m sure Rodri would be delighted to join a club that has constantly debased and demeaned his finest individual achievement.

    It's Quiet the £250m return

Not sure if we’re that far off in that Liverpool have gone all out in extending Salah and Van Dijk (no way they get big money for them next summer), spent £420m to replace their fullbacks and forwards and a very creative midfielder. They are going to have to alter their setup to accommodate...

    It's Quiet the £250m return

I still think we brought on the wrong Nico, we needed control of the ball, Gundogan gives that as well but no longer has the necessary athleticism.

    It's Quiet the £250m return

Means paying the wages for 3 players who won’t play. We already have Phillips we need more players in that category

    It's Quiet the £250m return

In order to able to register everyone in our squad then 2 of Ortega, Akanji and Gundogan must leave. If all 3 go then we have an additional foreign spot.

Hugo Viana | Director of Football

I’m convinced that a left footed player at left back can be enough more often than not because they aren’t as many quality right wingers so they don’t get tested to the same level defensively. Unfortunately there are lots of very good left wingers which means a right back needs to be able to...

    It's Quiet the £250m return

Martinez is a decent keeper, had a real purple patch a few years ago, is decent on penalties and is a master of sh1thousery but there’s no way he could be considered the best in the league. His performance against us last season being one of many cock ups. Sherwood is another in a long line of...

    It's Quiet the £250m return

Still need to find moves for two of Ortega, Akanji and Gundogan otherwise we’ll have a couple of players twiddling their thumbs on champions league nights. Ortega must be on a decent wage because otherwise I can’t fathom why no one has really moved for him.

    It's Quiet the £250m return

The Donarumma sighing is an odd one because he’s not especially good with his feet but it appears that he is the best available at the moment. It looks to me that when we signed Trafford the plan was to keep Ederson and let him see out his final year while working with Trafford. Obviously...
