    4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

Not built for the Prem, the weakest player I've ever seen ot even exaggerating Genuinely scared to make a challenge and try to us this shoulder Gets goals but happy for him to be sold ASAP

Because we dont need the money, we can buy a replacement now if we wanted and give a year grace (like Dinho/Rodri had). He hasn't said hes unhappy, Bernardo was interested in Barcelona/Portugal yet he never threw the towel in, don't expect Rodri to either Because even if hes not pre-injury Rodri...

God I hope not Dont think hes bad but just dont like him, and honestly that ship sailed when he went to the Chavs instead of us

    The Squad planning thread

Im only going off the stuff I've heard from him and the Chelsea fans, he commits to his style and doesn't compromise Maybe he changes it up but its a fundamental part of how he plays, they all said he had no game management and ridgidly stuck to his structure even when it wasnt working (like...

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2025/26

All 3 of them will be shifted without too much fuss, probably make a profit off Savinho and break even with Marmoush.... Reijnders maybe trickier but any Serie A team would jump to get him back

    Adam Wharton

Maresca's double pivot is usually a full back paired with the DM, then 2 players around the striker

Isn't that kinda the norm now? £300mil doesn't get what it used to I mean we spent £200mil in the Jan 25 window and its likley the 2 most expensive of those could leave this window

    The Squad planning thread

Makes sense, dont blame him Think hes been done dirty, he's been reliable and strong when hes had the opportunity which wasn't enough Marescas style probably doesnt suit him, usually its one holding midfielder and then an inverted full back to support With Anderson likely and Rodri probably...

    Enzo Fernandez

Im sorry but hes literally nothing like Reijnder, its like saying Reijnders and Gundogan are similar Enzo doesnt go hiding, he' always looking for the ball, he dictates the tempo, he shows creativity, he works hard, isnt afraid to put a challenge in, is vocal on the pitch. None of thise things...

    Was Rodri the next Fernandinho?

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2025/26

Maresca often plays with a 451 that becomes a 3241 with one for he full backs becoming the holding midfielder and one moving into a back 3 akin to what Pep did 22/23 season Nunes and NOR are natural midfielders so it seems both would be a good fit for Maresca although not sure how it works with...

Elliot Anderson | Opening bid rejected (p189)

The "better deal" only applies if its the best deal for us I'd rather the one player we desperately want than 2 players we didnt just to stop another team from improving Every deal is a risk, there are no guarantees in football Tchouaméni took a few years to get up to the level Madrid...

    Adam Wharton

Not going to say no to Wharton, but this guy is seriously lacking for pace Hes class on the ball but he's horribly slow and cant cover the ground we need, Kamada does so much running to compensate for him and he has 3 CBs behind him Great ball player but atm with Bernardo/Rodri we get...

Donnarumma Trafford Bettinelli Lewis Nunes Dias Gvardiol Guehi Khusanov Ake NOR RAN Rodri Nico G Reijnders Kovacic Foden Cherki Semenyo Doku Savinho Marmoush Haaland So we've got our full 8 HG quota at present, with 2 free non-HG spots. Semenyo and Guehi joining have helped out a lot in this...

    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2025/26

He'd cost far too much, hopefully its just him trying to get a better contract If he does go, and thats a big if, we already have Dias, Guehi and Khusanov not to mention Reis. But also there are players on the market, Schlotterback, Bastoni, Colwill etc.

    The Squad planning thread

Yea but its easy to spin Cherki is an elite world class talent Doku has finally found his feet as a world class winger Semenyo & Guehi were team of the year kinda players Khusanov is a diamond Nico O'Reilly explosion onto the scene is amazing Nunes has become one of the top right backs in...

    16 | Rodri 2025/26

Much mor likely to leave on a free next year than this summer Cant expect us to accept a modest fee, and dont see Real Madrid paying a big fee for a 30 year old unless they themselves can make some big sales
  18. H

    The Squad planning thread

Dont think it can be understated how much better we'd look with some athleticism and aggression in the midfield Nico Anderson is a great start

    Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

Our greatest ever but timing feels right Winning 2 trophies but we've lost the spark, we're so passive and he looks tired Amazing we got 10 years out if him, hes transformed football but think some fresh ideas are needed now Not sure Maresca is that person but here we are
  20. H

    Players who might improve us

This is where I'm at atm There is value to be had in the market (Cherki, Khusanov, Guehi, Donnaruma etc.) and you cant spend top rate prices everytime, but atm CM recruitment seems like lots of missed opportunities Bruno G and Rice were available for £100mil and both would've been amazing...
