    Drinking alone

I work away a lot (mainly in the UK) and if there's a game of footy on in the hotel bar I'll happily sit down there with a pint or three and watch it

    Countdown Numbers Help.

    25 x 5 = 125 125 - 2 = 123 10 - 4 = 6 123 x 6 = 738 :-) EDIT: should have been clearer, the 6 came from (10 - 4), amended above :-)

    Any Virgin Media Employees?

Morning folks, Are there any VM employees on there that would be willing to refer me for mates rates? I've been offered a new customer deal that includes a £100 bill credit that I need to take today otherwise it'll expire, so I was hoping for a quick look at the mates rates to see if they suit...

    Help Removing Computer Viruses?

Shame you paid the £30 mate - either Microsoft Security Essentials would have done the trick, or the free version of Avast combined with Windows Firewall. Anyway - in the free version of Avast there's an option for a "boot-time scan" so I imagine it exists in the paid for one... This'll scan...

    laptop screen (computer help)

Changing a screen is (in the main) a doddle - average prices tend to be around £70-£80 plus VAT. I'll get an official quote together for you now... To actually change it (as said earlier) is a 10-15 minute job, I've had 6 or 7 piled up in front of me all needing new screens and got through the...

    Speeding Advice

I remember hearing something about that a while ago but don't know if it got scrapped or still applies or whatever to be honest. Like I said I'll be happy to take the 6 hour course and fork out £80, thats not a problem, I just really really don't want the points to be honest! Hate the 2 week...

    Speeding Advice

Yeah that's what I thought, I'm hoping that with it being painted red and not reflective yellow like the GMP drivesafe site says they have to be, that it will be a dummy. I'd happily pay the extra £20 for the course because my insurance jumps up quite a bit with me being so young if I have the...

    Speeding Advice

The rules say that 6 points in the first 2 years and you get your licence revoked and have to take an extended test, nothing about points specifically in the first year though. Yup know how it works, naturally they're going to be harsh to cut down on emissions etc and whatever else makes them do...

    Speeding Advice

Hi all, I know this is an invitation to lots of people telling me not to speed but I'm just looking for advice not a grilling! I think a speed camera has just flashed me about half an hour ago, I was in a 30mph zone, and don't think I was doing anything over 34/35, it was genuinely an accident...

    gamecube contollers

Only works with Gamecube games, or any classic games you download from the Wii shop. But if you open the flap on the top of the console the four ports are there. Start your GC game as you would any other game using the Wiimote, then use the GC controller to play the GC game.

    msn

To answer the original question... Hotmail cannot be accessed through Outlook Express for free, you have to pay monthly for the premium service last time I checked. However if you have the 2003 or 2007 version out Microsoft Office Outlook, you can download Microsoft Office Outlook Connector...

    MP3 player - volume

Windows Media Player 11 can do that mate, just play around in the "Rip" settings under Tools -> Options (press Alt to show the menu bar) first to set it to MP3 and select a save destination.

    Champ man 01/02

Perhaps too old a game, assuming you're running in XP or Vista? As the differences between a 9x OS and an NT OS are huge, a lot of apps stopped working in Windows XP and Vista that would run happily in Windows 98/ME (several Need For Speed games wouldn't load up as an example) Try right...

    Geting a PC built

I tend to buy them from Aria of PCSpecialist, being able to build your own is useful though when you want to upgrade or swap components in a PC you already have so it's worth learning.

Sky Router Netgear DG834GT - Any Going Spare?

Yeah Buffalo has been very reliable, Belkin had to send us 3 replacement routers when we were with them so we got rid after that, they often just decided to shut themselves off.

    Add/Remove Programs Disappeared

Cheers guys I'll have a look. And Office 2000 should be compatible and that isn't on there lol! Probably is due to the fact I'm rubbish, doing an IT repair course at college as well :S

Sky Router Netgear DG834GT - Any Going Spare?

Get hold of a Buffalo WHRG54S (but the ADSL version of this, don't know what it's called exactly) they are unbelievably reliable, top rated router by Sony and Nintendo from what I can tell, we have had no problems, incredibly secure and no lag even with four computers connected at once.

    Add/Remove Programs Disappeared

Hi all, don't know if you have a clue what on Earth I should do about this but here goes: I went to use add/remove programs in XP Home a few days back and it was blank. Not a "white space" above the list, it is just completely blank. Tried all kinds of shit to no avail so I just thought screw...
