Wigan Athletic deducted 3 points (P33)

    By Wigan supporters? Really?

There have been numerous tweaks since the initial changeover and I have to say it is now far better than the old version. I view during the day mainly on iPhone and in the evenings on an Android tablet and on both it performs really well. Clean layout combined with more functionality - what's...

Wigan Athletic deducted 3 points (P33)

I have to say a few on here are adopting a Billy Big Bollocks attitude based on perceived slights in the past. I was at Wembley when they won but so what? It is a club with a supporter base that has been screwed over. Let's not be like the condescending Rags when we were shite and they were...

Wigan Athletic deducted 3 points (P33)

It appears that their total debt is around 45 mill as the dodgy loan that the new 'buyer' took from the previous owner has been included by the administrator, even though originally they said it didn’t exist. Looks like liquidation is the likely outcome.

I'm not sure that there is an underlying motive by the club to permanently introduce photo ID in order to prevent multiple use of SCs. This would be counter-productive in my view as I don't think there are huge numbers of people waiting to buy one if they became available. Other than SCs priced...

If the government make that policy then the club have to do it. My point was that the club shouldn’t decide which age groups can or can’t go as it has nothing to do with them.

Your age has got nothing whatsoever to do with the club. If you are up for attending matches that means you have evaluated the potential risk, you are happy with it and so you should have the same chance to go as anyone else who has opted in.

I assume that initially the club will establish which current SC holders wish to attend games once some spectators are allowed back in? I would also assume that initially more people will want to attend than will be allowed in and in that case there may be something like a game by game ballot so...

Well personally I'd start on the basis that the points were earnt by the named card holder so if someone else was using it for ten years then surely that wasn't in accordance with the T&Cs? That person then gets the points officially transferred over regardless of using a card they never...

So a SC loaded with mega points gets transferred over to a new, much younger recipient who then is right at the front of the queue even if they have never been to a game / been to a relative handful? It's all about opinions I suppose but I struggle to see how that is equitable.

The amnesty bit is fair enough so that people can get the correct names attached to it but transferring points over would be a shocking decision. Why should the newly named person get potentially decades worth of points given to them? I couldn't care less about my own points so I don't have a...

Not a problem for me to take my driving licence when I’m allowed back in. The sooner the better as far as I’m concerned & I hope the club don’t try to discriminate on age grounds either. I’m old enough to make my own decisions about what risks I’m prepared to take.

I don’t subscribe to The Athletic either but if you read my recent thread Bypass Paywalls it might be of interest to you going forward :)

CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

In layman's terms would you reasonably describe it as a load of bollocks, then?
