Fulham agree McCormack deal

Fulham have agreed a deal with Leeds United for their captain Ross McCormack, Sky Sports understands.

Sky Sports revealed last month that Fulham had made an opening bid of £5million for the 27-year-old striker, who was top scorer in the Championship last season with 29 goals.

Fulham returned to the table with a new bid last week, and following lengthy negotiations, the two clubs have now agreed a deal believed to be worth around £11million.

McCormack will now sign a four-year deal with the Cottagers, ahead of linking up with them at their pre-season training camp in his native Scotland.

Leeds owner Massimo Cellino had insisted he did not want to sell McCormack, but he finally agreed to sell in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Has the footballing world gone mad ??? Decent enough player and obviously the "drop out" PL money has helped Fulham, but £11 M ?? Fuck me.

If he's their top scorer and they get promoted, it looks like pennies.

McCormack and Mitroglou has the potential to be an unbelievable strikeforce at that level.

If Fulham's scouts cannot find them a striker to play at that level for less than 11mil they need sacking!

Is 11mil a Championship record?

We got Kompany for £6m, Negredo cost a mere £5m more and Navas for £3.8m more than McCormack.

Put that into perspective for a moment.

What is it about Fulham spunking money on forwards, just look at the Greek lad they signed Mitroglou, they give 12 million for him and he managed 3 games in 5 months! Could be bad news financial wise if they don't get promotion if they plan on spending more money.

A ridiculous fee but Fulham does have a history on wasting money on strikers, The only positive is at least McCormack is proven at that level.
