£47 million: the bill for Carlos Tevez

Re: £47 million: the bill for Carlos Tevez

Brilliant that Manchester City got hold of a player that a large part of the Old Trafford faithfully wanted 'Fergie, Fergie Sign Him Up' thus weakening Manchester United and stregthening Manchester City's team.

According to Joorabchian it's not true and to expect a statement Soon.

What some footy fans have to understand if they did pay £50 million that works out at about 6hours interest to Manchester Citys owners.

Re: £47 million: the bill for Carlos Tevez

The article also says £34.2 million for Robi.
I thought it was £32.5 so have the Times got there "facts" wrong again?

Re: £47 million: the bill for Carlos Tevez

Joorabchain has now denied the story too - looks like it was nothing more than the usual unsubstantiated bollocks we get from the gutter press!

Re: £47 million: the bill for Carlos Tevez

Only with us do the press report the signing on fee, the cost of the bic, the wages, the cost of the sausage rolls, the agents fee and the transfer fee and quote it as one figure.

Re: £47 million: the bill for Carlos Tevez

The rest is his wages.

25M plus 5M a year.

That's not what the article was saying though mate - it said the transfer fee was £47 million, and that the total plus wages came to £84.5 million.

It was, in fact, just total bullshit.

Its interesting to read the MEN article about it, which suggests the root of the story came from Slur Alex, attempting to justify why his tin-pot club didn't sign the player - stoking up the mind games ahead of the Derby next week. Shows the bitter old soak is scared, as he never used to bother trying that shit with City in the past!

Re: £47 million: the bill for Carlos Tevez

We would not pay double the asking price.

Re: £47 million: the bill for Carlos Tevez

Got to be bollocks, i know our owners are minted but that sort of outlay buys you a true world star & not a player like Tevez who isn't in the top echelon of players.......good player though he obviously is.

Re: £47 million: the bill for Carlos Tevez

Another £3.5 million will be paid if City win the Champions League while Tévez is at the club — an improbable scenario,

Cock.
