It's easy:

Customer: "hello"

Me: "buy this policy you c**t"

Customer: "ok"

I'm too polite and or desperate!!

Customer: hello

Me: Please buy this policy you c**t

Customer: f**k off
TBH I'm not a sales kind of guy, just get by but my hearts never been in it. I wouldn't mind something outdoors or maybe learn a trade etc.

Do it.

Fuck all. Bonuses look ok compared to last job, already beat my best month in previous role as long as call quality checks are ok.

Sales is hard work, hats off to you
I was a pharma rep for a few years, loved the job as i was out visiting doctors all day but it was hard going at times

Easy!!! Big expense accounts ;)

I had 250 doctors on my patch and was given money to manage it myself,it was a great job, very well paid and good perks but i left it all to start my own business,a big risk but it worked out good in the end

A good mate of mine who worked my sales team left to become a tree surgeon. Crap at sales great at chopping trees down and we're still good mates. Get out there!

I know they've cut back the budgets a lot recently - who hasn't!! Mrs GD has just got the next part of her degree funded by some drug co so the money is still out there. What was your own business doing?

Nice one (the business, not the accident) - must have taken some organising to make it work.

Given your background have you not considered coaching/mentoring of sales staff?

I've done a lot of work recently supporting Regional Sales Managers and I don't even have a sales background.

Never had the balls to go it alone - fair play to you for doing it :)
