I have exactly same when I'm poorly but with whisky in it and yes the best cure for a cold known to man :)

Its a fact that any booze makes a cold worse

Alcohol dehydrates you and when you have a cold you need plenty of liquid

Plenty of hot lemon drink (fresh lemons squeezed into hot water, sugar if reqd) and paracetomol (2 every 4 hours)

maybe some vit C tablets or eat some oranges for vit C, & rest up
