If we're signing Jovetic and Dzeko is staying then I don't see the point in signing Negredo.

___Yaya__Fernandinho

Navas____Silva____Jovetic

________Aguero

Would be our best team imo with Nasri, Milner and Dzeko rotating.
That looks very good, get silva back central where he can create more and two skilfull players either side who can actually beat a man. Could always switch Jovetic and Silva too if Jovetic starts scoring

An with fernandinho's long shots and yaya's runs, the opposition would have no clue who to mark :)

Jovetic is not an out and out striker though, he will be bought as an alternative to Isco, a player who can play behind the main striker.

Strikers could be: Kun, Dzeko, Negredo, Guidetti

Creative players and number tens: Silva, Nasri, Navas and Jovetic

Sergio can play behind a main front man as well.

He can certainly play as a striker. Navas, Silva, Nasri, Guidetti, Dzeko, Jovetic and Aguero competing for 4 positions is enough imo. Milner and Yaya can occupy one of those positions too if need be.

Jovetic from the left and Aguero up front with Silva behind and Navas bombing down the right would be a dream imo.

And what happens when 1 or 2 of our main strikers, lose form get injured or are suspended,

We make do and mend like every other club, what would the rags do if they lost RVP and Shrek? They have mushy pea and Wellshite we would have Jovetic and Guidetti.

IF we get Ibra and Jovetic - Jovetic would be on the bench
They play in completely different positions...

Sorry point being that I think we'd play 2 up front if we had Ibra (one less midfielder), whereas with Jovetic and no Ibra I think it would just be Aguero upfront.

Thank you.

If any two players from Silva, Navas, Nasri, Jovetic, Dzeko, Aguero and Guidetti get injured we can still pick 4 of them and have 1 on the bench with enough room for one of Lopes/Suarez etc on the bench. What's so bad about that? How else are they going to get first team action? Milner can play on the right too and Yaya can play behind the striker.

Say for example, Aguero and Jovetic get injured, is this lineup and bench really that bad for a few weeks?

_______________Hart

Zabaleta__Kompany__Nastasic__Clichy

_________Milner__Fernandinho

______Silva_____Yaya_____Nasri

_______________Dzeko

Subs: Pantillimon, Richards, Lescott, Barry, Suarez, Navas, Guidetti.

Even with that the likes of Kolarov and Garcia wouldn't be in the match squad and this is assuming we sell Sinclair. If we don't then he could be on that bench.

Having 2 senior players for every position is unnecessary and you'll always have a few unhappy players.

I am always in support of youngsters getting a run out but is it really the best idea to have EDS graduate come in toward the end of the season (I hope to god we don't lose Aguero or Dzeko to injury earlier on again) and try to keep us going? It is different if we blood them in with the veterans but it would be a horrible thing to do to throw them to the wolves in a high pressure scenario.

I would be tempted to get Jovetic and Negredo, i think we need both. I would use Jovetic as an attacking midfielder or an inside forward.

Then up front we would have... Aguero... Dzeko... Negredo... Guidetti.

Good attacking four that.
