if our summer ended with navas, fernandinho and negredo, id be delighted, just think what last summer was like

I hope you're right but unless anyone on BM watches the above 3 week in week out no one here really knows how good they are or how well they will adapt to living and playing in England
None have played in the Prem before and to that end they are unknown quantities!!!

And also for our opponents...

On the subject of goalscorers putting away chances. Can anybody remember Gomez against Chelsea in the Champions League final, that guy couldn't score in a brothel that day.

Every time I watch a Bayern games Gomez misses chance after chance
I dont think he scored all last season..

All this negativity being aimed at Negredo is just because
he's not the A-list player a lot of our fans seem to want.
Hands up who thought Benteke or Michu would score that
many goals for their clubs last season?. We just don't know
what to expect from him do we?. Trust the men in charge.

Spot on. Trust Pellegrini, end of day he even had RSC scoring.

Pellegrini and his mates know far more about football than I ever will. If they see Negrado doing a job at City then that's fine by me. I have a feeling he will be a great signing, if it comes off.

Whether a player has played well, poor or somewhere in between is all a matter of opinion. I stand by the point that some had made their minds up on Garcia because of the disappointment of not getting De Rossi.
Sinclair was risk worth taking for the price we paid. If he flopped, (as is the case), we will still get £5m for him, but if he had upped his game with class player around him, he would have been a bargain. Like I say every signing is a risk.

Say Cavani was never linked with us, or say he never existed even, and Negredo was bought for £24m, would he be a signing regarded as underwhelming then? Bit disrespectful to label a signing as underwhelming just because it's not a £50m+ player some of the biggest clubs in the world are linked with.

I hope my post a few pages back actually happens, that he scores 25 goals and rips defences apart, and Cavani joins Chelsea and can't make the step up from a relatively poor league to the PL and is a total flop. I also hope that when Chelsea announce that signing, those on here moaning already go into total meltdown mode slating the signing of Negredo even more. Might teach them a thing or two about being brats.

No. Its based on watching him.

Some of us have watched Cavani before he was linked

Illogical to say because he does exist
Point is to some he is already a bad signing because he's not Cavani. Who's to say Cavani would work anyway? Didn't exactly set the confeds cup on fire, did he? It's like a child not getting his beloved iPad for xmas and getting the so called 'lesser' model. His mind is already made up that it's going to be shit because it's not what he wanted.

You really are talking shite. I don't rate Negredo having seen him play on a number of occasions. Nothing to do with Cavani whatsover.
