Álvaro Negredo Sánchez

I think Negredo and Tevez are different players. You will never see Negredo dropping as deep as Tevez in a city shirt. Negredo is an out and out goal scorer where Tevez ended up playing a attacking midfield position in some games. As mentioned Negredo will give us more goals but Tevez would give us better support play. As we have signed an attaking midfield player and a winger already I think we've covered any loss from Tevez going....our need is someone to put the ball in the back of the net and Negredo should give us that..

How does Negredo rate next to say Tevez? Are we losing anything signing him?

I asked the same Question and gotta response of that he'll score more goals than Tevez.

Can't complain with that.

I still don't understand the logic of potentially getting these 2 strikers in. Surely the combined transfer fee and wages would be the same as just getting cavani. And why not just get higuain for £25m.. Look at the stats of all these players we're linked with and they're not bad, they score around a goal every other game. Now look at higuains stats.. He's different class and only 25 years old. We need to hijack this deal from arsenal!

I'd guess because Pellegrini wants Negredo, not Higuain. He'll know both players well and has made his choice based on what he's seen and knows.

Good enough for me.

27 goals in 32 games for real when pellegrini was boss! Look at his scoring record for Argentina! If he goes to arsenal mark my words he will become another RVP and we'll be kicking ourselves for not getting him
No he won't. Higauin is the most overrated fuck if there ever was one.

Madrid fans think of El Pipita like we think of Dzeko...despite all his goals, can't get over his play.

Higauin is a just finisher and will never be fit to lace RVP's boots. RVP is that and so much more.

There's a reason the less clinical Benzema is easily 1st choice at RM.

I tend to agree with the over hype of Higuain. Whenever I've
seen him for Madrid he's looked very poor and has always been
hauled off when he's started. Any latest news on Negredo and
Osvaldo?

Really hope this happens. If there's one thing our league isn't savvy to, it's the effectiveness of the chipped ball and Negredo has that skill to a tee.

You can argue over things like his style of play or even the odd flukey season where he scores a load of goals (like dzeko in germany) but how can you argue with consistent goals for both club and country? Significantly more than a goal per 2 games every year for the last 5 years. Look at his stats and there's only a handful of players who can match them in world football. I think it is a mistake not to sign him.

At least he will be fresh for the new Season.

Seeing as he wasn't good enough for Spain's Confederations Cup Squad.

This is the 3rd thread I've read and you've put stupid comments on them all. Do us a favour and SHUT THE F&&K UP.

Was about to say the exact same thing

RafaelH117: Marca says Negredo has agreed terms with Manchester City and the club will now start negotiating with Sevilla.

Seems the wrong way around that but what do i know.

No point in negotiating with the club unless we know the player wants to come?

It's the agents who do all the negotiating. Some agents [Kia for one] still think they own the player, though they would reply that they were only 'managing' his career. Once a player has discussed the possibility of a lucrative move with his agent, often without the parent club having any knowledge of it, that agent will talk to agents of other clubs. Players have agents, so do managers, and I think Kia was also Cook's agent [though I stand to be corrected], so from this I think it's fair to say the system is rotten as far as the paying supporter is concerned.

-- Sat Jul 06, 2013 9:33 am --

Napoli, Dzeko is first choice to replace Cavani: the options
Articolo pubblicato venerdì 5 luglio 2013 alle 14:16 - Calciomercato, Inglese.

Napoli is pondering life after Cavani. The Uruguayan is very close to joining Paris St Germain, Leonardo’s offer is very appealing. Therefore Napoli will have to replace the striker who scored many goals in the past few seasons. The first choice is Edin Dzeko. Manchester City has acquired Negredo in the past few hours, and is now working on acquiring Osvaldo, so their request for Dzeko could be lower now. Other options are Jovetic and Damiao, The Montenegro striker has agreed in principle to a deal with Juventus, and at the moment it appears there have been no offers for him. Damiao was contacted when Zenit pursued Cavani a few months ago, even though he isn’t familiar with Italian football. Cavani is on his way out, and Napoli ponders his replacement.

By Gianluca Di Marzio.

Dzeko will not be sold unless the clubs valuation is reached in full ....our own version of the release clause

And to a club with £53m to spend, I reckon we should be asking at least £33m.

Continental way of doing things, agree with the player, turn the players head, stronger bargaining position with the club, get the player for less. The "british way" contact the club either get permission to speak to the player or negotiate a fee then deal with the player, in that way the selling club has the stronger bargaining position. In theory anyway.

when are we back in training ,not starting a thread for a silly question when 1 person could answer
