I think he is Dzeko's potential replacement should Cavani/Lewandowski be sold and those clubs bid for him.

For the third striker, we will wait until that happens.

I think so, after Gomez gone to Fiorentina, Lewandowski maybe on his way to allianz arena, but i can't see Dortmund sell 2 of their key players to Bayern at the same time.

If we sell Dzeko the replacement would be Cavani

I know that any transfer speculation inherently means talking about moving pieces, but can we please stop making every fucking thread about Dzeko leaving?

I totally understand if people don't rate him. Personally I think he has an excellent track record previous to his arrival, and finished as our most successful striker last year, so maybe I'm not in as much of a hurry to see the back of him as a lot of you are. But if you're not a fan based on watching a collection of poor touches, so be it... not here to change your mind, so say your piece in the Dzeko thread.

But as of right now we have two senior strikers on the books, Dzeko has never said anything to contradict his commitment to the club -- never a whiff of anything but dedication to doing better -- and by all accounts our new manager has made integrating the striker into our future plans. So where exactly is the grounded-in-reality basis for every thread here turning into "we sign this guy and we can also get rid of Dzeko... makes another space for Striker X! (who this thread is also not about... Higuain, Jovetic, Soldado, etc.). I never look at the names of people who keep hijacking threads into Dzeko exit stories, but is it the same muppets doing it over and over? If so, knock it off.

Also, happy Wednesday.

The omnipotent one has spoken. If you can't see the relevance then you're the muppet

It has relevance here as Kun above mentioned Dortmund being in the process of acquiring another forward, therefore more than likely diminishing their interest in Dzeko. I personally am sick of watching him stink the place out so decided to express my sadness that he wouldn't be fucking off this summer. Sorry to be a burden, but don't bother reading if it gets your wee panties in a twist.

It has a tendency to turn every striker thread into one-trick ponies about a player that a lot of you would like to off-load, instead of a thread about us possibly adding a third striker to our books, and it also concerns a piece of fancy regarding a city player that currently has no logical basis for leaving -- just wish fulfillment for anyone who has the very simple and straightforward agenda of seeing him leave the club.

Which is fine, wanting him to leave. There's a great place for airing your views about wanting him to leave. I just wish it wasn't an opinion that had to rear its head in every topic here.

With regards to winding me up, maybe you and I can head over to the appropriate thread and I'll explain how in my personal opinion every single one of you would've been calling for The Goat's head if you were or had been around a decade ago. But we'll talk there.

Negredo: didn't watch enough La Liga last year, but I'm interested. Seems to have done a job, I'll welcome him with open arms if the business comes through.

And we're stuck with Dzeko? :(

shame we are stuck with someone with such a poor minutes per goal ratio eh?

Obviously it is a widespread opinion if it keeps rearing it head. I don't feel the need to seek out a particular thread every time I want to make a comment, especially if I am referring to something that someone else has said.

Regarding the Goat, I don't know what point you are trying to make? Completely different era with completely different expectations. But anyway, we're going round in a circles so we'll leave it at that.

I thought Aubaymayang is a winger striker and not a CF?

Dortmund need more than one main striker next season, they looked to rely on Lewandowski far too much from what I saw of them last season.

Dzeko and Aubaymayang would be a good coup for them.

If Dzeko is willing to work next season then for sure we should keep him.

Yeah, if he put away as many as he fluffed we'd be talking about a serious ratio. Shame he has the touch of a Priest in a primary school and an unexplainable inability to pass the ball, even though he earns over 100k a week as a professional footballer.
