Negredo is a top striker but it not a particularly exciting prospect. The bottom line is that world class strikers are few and far between at the moment so Negredo is a good player to have in the squad.
Personally Ill go for Gomez but he seems to be Fiorentina-bound.

People absolutely kidding themselves if they're in any way excited about this deal. Our strike force wasn't good enough at the start of last season. Since then we've sold 2 players who are vastly superior to Negredo. Thought we would of learnt our lesson last summer.

why are we now going for second best? surely david villa or higuain are better.

I won't write him off as I don't see the need however it's not a signing I'll be excited over.

Yes why go for Navas when we could of gone for Bale or Ronaldo .......
