No he wont, he'll obviously do nothing, how could he, from what I understand he's only worth 6m on Football Manager.

I really don't see any negatives with this signing, should it happen.

I couldn't give a flying fuck if we aren't spending 300 million per signing, we are buying excellent players in positions that needed strengthening, along with cutting the wage bill etc.

Maybe Manuel doesn't require the Fifa players many of you crave, because just maybe he has enough faith in his ability, to actually mould a team that play together, rather than relying on the odd egotistical big cheese, to occasionally turn up a do something to win a game.

I'm not sure how I feel about the Negredo signing but I'm getting a bit fed up with some of our fans being condescending to others and implying they have a juvenile grasp on football, simply for stating they believe our signings are below par.

You know who had 'Fifa' signings coming out of their arses?...the last 4 teams in the CL last year...and remember that's where the owners want to be, not making good value but not world-class signings like Liverpool/Arsenal.

If this comes off, that's three high-quality signings by the first week of July that fill important needs and without blowing our entire transfer wad. Contrast just the timing let alone the quality to last summer.

And, intentional or not, I like hanging onto those headed for the door (ex-Tevez) until MP knows how or if he'll use them (which he may already, and probably does). Perhaps we'll be able to offload them for more than we think when other squads who haven't rounded out their rosters come begging several weeks from now . . .

I understand that concept fairly well thank you. My point was to do with posters on here that seem to swing from one point of view to another to make it fit into whatever makes them think everything City are doing is just utter perfection. First it was from now on the directors of football will buy players to fit a system and a coach will be brought in to coach so we don't get a Mancini style of management who wants the final say. Next week it's the new manager want's things doing his way and so lets back him to the hilt to give him what he requires.

No one in their right mind ever thought that the manager would not have a say in who we buy.

I know that, I'm merely pointing out that when Mancini was sacked and everyone was falling over themselves to explain/justify the holistic approach it was said on here that the manager would have far less of a say in our future dealings. Same goes for whenever we're associated to a new signing and everyone starts raving about how fantastic these below grade A players really are. Now they may do brilliant and they may not but I just wish people wouldn't go so far in justifying how talented and what a bargain these players are. If they truly were that good they'd be household names. I don't really care myself these days one way or another I just go along and support the team and keep calling me Prof I like it ;-)
