I understand that concept fairly well thank you. My point was to do with posters on here that seem to swing from one point of view to another to make it fit into whatever makes them think everything City are doing is just utter perfection. First it was from now on the directors of football will buy players to fit a system and a coach will be brought in to coach so we don't get a Mancini style of management who wants the final say. Next week it's the new manager want's things doing his way and so lets back him to the hilt to give him what he requires.

Prof,

No one in their right mind ever thought that the manager would not have a say in who we buy.

I know that, I'm merely pointing out that when Mancini was sacked and everyone was falling over themselves to explain/justify the holistic approach it was said on here that the manager would have far less of a say in our future dealings. Same goes for whenever we're associated to a new signing and everyone starts raving about how fantastic these below grade A players really are. Now they may do brilliant and they may not but I just wish people wouldn't go so far in justifying how talented and what a bargain these players are. If they truly were that good they'd be household names. I don't really care myself these days one way or another I just go along and support the team and keep calling me Prof I like it ;-)
Below grade A players?

Don't get that. They are high quality players. One of the best wingers and best strikers in Spain, and one of the best midfielders anywhere, and more importantly their skills address nearly all the weaknesses we exhibited last season:

1) lack of goals - the biggest problem.
2) lack of width
3) lack of mobility in midfield and pace on the break.

I'm dead sure how I feel about the Negredo signing he will be the buy of the season score goals for fun but I'm getting a bit fed up with some of our fans they have a juvenile grasp on football, always going on and on and telling other city fans who do not share there thoughts they Believe they know better. than the people in charge of our great club, we have a CL Winner super cup Winner Spanish champion (i dont know how many times).. South american champion in 3 or 4 countries BUT still our signings are below par acording to the KFA our owner is spending HIS Money to put a smile on OUR face but its still not enough they want MORE and then they wonder why people Think they are acting like kids and get the hump with a bit of give back.... what a pity..

I don't think it is hard to justify that Negredo looks decent value for money. Whether he will prove his worth remains to be seen but that is true of any player before you have seen them in action for your own club over a decent length of time.

United and (oddly enough) Liverpool fans seem to find our transfers amusing. Who have they signed so far to compare...?
Seen quite a few comments too - referred them to Welbeck's 1 League goal and they didn't like that

His letdown is his pace, isn't very quick.

However, his movement off the shoulder is very well timed and gives him the yard he needs. Tends to shoot first time rather than piss about with it.

He's a little bit like RVP in some ways.

Pace isnt everyting - Tevez had no pace but how good was he is his prime?

Fair comment about his speed of turn

Yeah I know YouTube can supposedly make anyone look good but fuck me some of them finishes are sublime and he is pretty skilful as well. Maybe not lightning quick however

He did those things in la liga as well. Not the Dutch, Scottish, Belgian etc etc

The one thing it does highlight mate,he can actually trap and control a ball, unlike Dzeko, who finds great difficulty in trapping a fucking bag of cement.

An Atletico Madrid spoke person has said that its game over for them, they couldn't compete with Manchester Citys petrodollars, so I think its safe to welcome our new #9..

He's not going to be first choice anyway, don't know why people will worry about that.

Nice to hear that you`re an ITK and Pelle has already told you the finer points of his team selection and formation.

Not claiming to be ITK, just saying, Dzeko seemed all but out and now he seems to be staying? I'm not worried if he is first choice anyway, I'm going to actually let Pellegrini handle the team first before I decide we've won or lost the league.
