The elephant in the room is that football merchandise is not and will never be very stylish, only a fraction of it is "cool", and most football fans want a traditionalish home shirt, a scarf and possibly a warm coat for the winter with the badge on. But Nike and Puma are full of creative young designers and have big contracts to sell lots of the stuff that need to be revamped each year so they have to come up with a load of stuff related to Manchester that might tempt people which will generate some, let's say, experimental designs.
