“City in crisis”

For us not to be in CL would be quite a dramatic fall off tbh. To not be in Europe at all would be totally ridiculous.

It's all hypothetical. But if this season does turn out to be a particularly bad one, it isn't going to cost us. Fans need to chill out a bit. We've got a brilliant squad that needs freshening up. We've got the best manager in the business and we've got plenty of cash in the bank. Not making the CL hurts, but it would be a blip nothing more. For now it's not worth worrying about.

That's shameful.
Been banging this drum for weeks. Absolute zero contribution from every forward player except for Haaland.

If he doesn’t score it’s game over for us.

This is what happens when you sell Mahrez, Alvarez and Palmer and prime Gundo over 2 years ( and lose all those goals ) and replace them with players that didn’t score at their previous clubs and can’t score for City. Nobody should be surprised.

Chronic mis-management of the squad turnover by Txiki.

Loving the head in the sand comments on here looking at it only being a couple of games blimp. Look at the games we have played without Rodri over 2 seasons and the it’s fairly obvious this is more than a blip that has no obvious solution.

Since his injury this season we average 1.2 goals a game and 1.4 points in the league - with an easy run of fixtures. Far more pain due in December starting next week.

That average continuing will see us mid table in May.

And don’t be thinking any new arrivals will sort out the problem - Txiki hasn’t got a midfield signing right for years with multiple failures - so don’t be thinking he will get I right in Jan.

So, to summarise, we are on our worst run in 18 years and...
- 2nd in the league (with 26 games to go)
- still in the CL with a good chance of getting through to the knockout stages (jinxed it for tomorrow now!)
- FA cup still to come
- Out of what is probably the least important of the 4 competitions we are in (arguably a good thing as it means fewer games)

Most teams would bite your arm off to be in that position.
I think some are just on the wind up.

Well you certainly live up to your name ;-)

What are you on about, this is the season we finish outside the top 4 and win the CL when we aren't a favourite!

Seriously though we can have an off season, that off season cannot be finishing outside of the top 4 though. There are absolutely not 4 better teams in this league than us. That would be criminal.

Totally agree.

We've fought hard to be a regular participant in the champions league. And now fans aren't bothered if we don't qualify.

I don't think our owners will be as submissive!!!!

I get what you're saying mate in all honesty. Anyone thinking we could go on like we have been is being unrealistic to say the least. I just think Saturday was a shock for so many supporters. Nobody really saw that coming, even after the poor run before the internationals. The reasons have been debated and will continue to do so. Regardless of all the mitigating factors, the results have been awful and the team needs to get back on track.

I think most of us saw Saturday coming to be honest. Yes, you can argue that there's reasons for our recent results but our record against Spurs both home & away is sketchy at best
