Further to some similar posts on here I’d like to add my two penneth -
I play fantasy premier league very badly so decided to change tack and look at some of the stats on their site for the first time and it makes interesting reading for our club (I’m no good at tables). I’m hoping they’re mostly correct…….

We score so few goals from all our shots particularly inside the box. Is it because our build up is so slow allowing defences to regroup. Why don’t we occasionally attack quicker. A few counter attack goals would be welcome.
Why can we not take corners as we earn far more than other teams. Unprofessional.
Why do we persist in tippy tapping the ball to get inside the box or sling so many crosses in when we score so few goals there atm. Get there quicker or have a shot we can.
Our save / blocked shots / tackles made ratio is worse than our immediate rivals? Is it because we play such a high line and invite teams on to us too quickly and too often (fine when we had the legs to press and get back into position but not with this team?). Play deeper occasionally and let teams come on to us a bit more when we are actually set as a defensive unit.
Do we get a prize for the most passes ever because it seems we are world champions at this aspect of the game. Teams are working us out so why do we not mix our play up a little bit more. Put some doubt in their minds. They all must know that when they lose the ball it’s rarely if ever immediately knocked over the top or down the wings for our greyhound wingbacks to chase.
I know the saying lies, lies and damn statistics but FFS these stats speak volumes to me about why we are struggling at the moment.
