“City in crisis”

Some of the things I’m seeing during games are worrying

I’m still undecided whether this is a blip or a sign of things to come for the season ahead.

We had Rodri in all those seasons that we went on long winning runs to win titles.
We also had Pep though

Let the flappers and fannies have their fun tonight.

Those of us able to see things in context and apply a sense of perspective to events will keep our counsel and wait for the tide to turn as it undoubtedly will.
I think the flappers and fannies had their fun on Saturday, or maybe the wednesday before, and then today....you're right. it'll turn around...no doubts..........

We need to get a siege mentality and roll up our sleeves and get through to January and stay close to the scousers. Get some fresh blood in with energy and put pressure on key positions that aren’t performing. And can Ederson please save a bloody penalty. Ortega can.

Main problem today was as soon as they scored we shit ourselves. We looked piss weak in midfield, had no leaders on the park and got run off the field again just like Saturday.

Playing as we are Brighton will beat us on Saturday as well sadly. An incredibly poor summer window of inactivity is coming back to bite us. We had 1 genuine holding midfielder - the key position in a Pep formation - in the club, and he got injured. Remarkably we also only have 1 senior striker in the entire club as well - absolute madness. Our midfield is as nimble as a council bin truck.

The players we have right now are not good enough for a fast league, we get away with it with a few players back but we are at the point of a big re build regardless of our injuries who are the usual injured players anyway

Stones, walker, Bernie, Kev, Ake, Gundy, Kova are not fit or young enough & it’s time to move them on. That’s 7 new first team players needed ASAP

A keeper who is unsettled due to a poor wage

A manager that might be going

Only 1 striker

Doku, savi & Nunes not creative

Foden & jack hit & miss

A lot needs sorting

that sums it up perfectly-no proper stand ins for Rodri or Haarland-hard to do but there has been time to do it
