“City Matters” fan committee

I’m sorry to go on Colin, but giving 200 tickets to Thomas Cook may sort out their underselling issue but it doesn’t in the least bit address reducing the number of tickets that go to people who don’t have the points. If I had lower points I’d just book TC with a guaranteed ticket.
No it doesn't on its own and I wouldn't claim otherwise. Same sort of argument that, if you've got 20k points and belong to a branch, you'd always book your ticket through the club.

Do you think Supporters Clubs are part of the “second hand ticket” market?
Yes. I know they are.

Who is asking to jump the queue ? I’ve made my point that I don’t agree with the new proposal, it’s the club that have made it clear anyone regardless of points can just jump on a tc flight and get a ticket.
You !!!
You are prepared to go with TC to "guarantee" yourself a ticket so therefore you are jumping the queue, irrespective of how many points you have.
If you feel that strongly about it,just refuse as a matter of principle.I`m certain the Club would understand your point.

Can someone answer this simple question for me. Let us say a branch has 10 members all of whom have 19,000+ points and the branch applies for 10 tickets for Burton. Before they go on sale the branch knows that they have been allocated five tickets. Am I right in saying that those five tickets will go to five of those members with the required number of points and the club adds the points to their account. The other five apply through the club and also manage to obtain tickets and have their points added. Is this correct?

For some reason i have never been too bothered by the comments about us not selling out and the "Emptyhead" jibes but this reason it is becoming a piss take.
As others have quoted our attendances are amongst the very best in the country and yet we are perceived as having a poor fan base.
What frustrates me is how the club itself appear to do very little to impact on this.
For example why the fuck do we have the family stand where it is? By it's very nature you get loads of kids in there and their parents and if a parent is ill or can't make the game for whatever reason then the kids are likely to miss the game as well, add to this that if you take kids then you are more inclined to leave early to avoid the mad rush of everyone leaving at the end of the game. This is even more relevant for midweek games when the kids have school the next day.
We have discounted pricing for the new top tier in the South stand where we have thousands of fans who can not be seen and then smatterings of empty seats elsewhere.
Personally i would make the seating in the current Family stand heavily discounted in order to encourage them to be sold out the same for the bottom two tiers of the South stand. I would relocate the family stand in the Colin Bell stand, we need to address this issue, we know that other clubs close down stands or tiers for certain games when the attendance is expected to be low but they are always out of the eye line of the camera and make every effort to minimise any seats that are unsold.
The main principle i would employ is to make the seats that are clearly visible on TV the most competetivly priced of all.

Yes it can work like that.
The branch could ask its members, regardless of points, who wants to go to Burton, ten reply that they do so the branch requests 10 tickets from the Supporters Club.
The branch secretary is told they’ve only got five, not the ten they wanted. Then the other five are sourced through different paths. If they have five members with enough points they can get them from City’s ticket site like everyone else even though the five with the high points might not want to go.
So five members get their points added to their total, even though they may not be going to the game, and five get their points added as they bought them through the branch, and may have had less points than needed before it sold out.

Agreed mate. If it's right that £44.50 was cheapest available yesterday then no wonder there's empty seats for a Monday 8pm game.
The first 20 rows could be priced at £15 for a game like that and ST for those rows could also be much cheaper

Just responded to an SOS from the Club for our Branch to take more tickets for Newcastle Away (the game that’s open sale).

But surely the club can only add the points to the members who have enough points. so in this case the five with enough points have the points added and can't then apply for more tickets or am I being stupid.
