“Follow you everywhere” chant

It's so funny having the internet to discuss these sorts of things long after the match is over.

Imagine what it would have been like back in the day: "I hate that blue moon song, a proper dirge, can we not sing something more upbeat", "who is the invisible man, can't we get to classics like shouting "city"', 'what is with all this inflatable shite, it's not the bloody paddling pool'.

There used to be lad in the late 90s early 2000s who sat in the kippax who was an opera singer. He’d get called out “Pavo, pavo give us a song” and he would stand up and sing blue moon in the style of Pavarotti.
Only seen him once, at an away game, pub packed with blues, when he stood up everyone shushed, he'd start a song before the 'audience' piled in, amazing, the power of the voice and holding so many inebriates entranced, stays with me but can't remember which game.
Btw, on the 3rd song, all quiet, and he opened with "Get the beer in for the Pav...", folk seemed to lose focus, shame...

Love that it’s caught on as I like the songs that get repeated.

Sadly, the club will ruin it like they tend to with everything by selling t-shirts with it on and getting the bloke they roll out with the guitar to do a version of it…

One thing I wish they’d do at the Etihad that happened last night is that they announced they were turning the music off and left it up to the crowd. I know this would sometimes fall flat on it’s arse but for some games it would make a hell of a difference.

I digressed quite a bit there. Great song, glad it’s back, hope it spreads at home games.

Let ‘em enjoy themselves, the chant isn’t disrespectful to other clubs and it’s funny. Surely everyone has been through such a tough time it’s great to see a crowd having fun. Hope they can do it at the Etihad.
Been one of my favourite City chants for years this. Glad it’s finally got a proper airing in the stands.
