“Follow you everywhere” chant

I know. Why the change from Oh IIIIII to Awooo? Made me chuckle too.

makes the song brilliant for me.

there are lots of reasons for singing songs for the lads on the pitch, the wahoooo makes the song stand out and the players know its us and relate to it. Also it is good to turn the head on home fans who thing "who the fk are these crazy 2500 fans".... The bristol fans must have appreciated it.. Stands out on tv as well.

If it's for a laugh great, carry on, but anything with a awooooo in it can't be taken seriously. Sing that in the 70's and 80's and we'd be laughed off the terraces.

similarly sing

"you're going home by fucking ambulance" or Munich songs now

and we'd be crucified.

Times change and so has the support.

awooooooooooooooooooooo

Out of interest I've got a video showing us singing this song on a train after the Schalke away game in 2019.

It’ll be round about eight clubs in the next month. Look at that ‘we’ve got super *manager’s name* he knows exactly what we need’… only City United Everton Liverpool and Leeds don’t sing that. And it’s a proper shit chant n’all.
We've got super Guardiola, he knows exactly what we need. Dias at the back, haaland in attack, city's gonna win the champions league. AWOOOOOOOOOOO.

Yeah I love it too. Sounds brilliant and one that hangs around for a decent amount of time.
