Hard to pick just 10 but these have all stuck with me for decades.

Women and Children First - Van Halen
Alive - Kiss
Rocks - Aerosmith
Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin
Aladdin Sane - David Bowie
Billion Dollar Babies - Alice Cooper
Yes Album - Yes
All the World's A Stage - Rush
Starz - Starz
One More From The Road - Lynyrd Skynyrd

Good stuff there OB1 ..... LOVE the 'Smiff's Rocks album too ... ditto the Alice, my fave of his/theirs along with From The Inside ..... And great to see Starz!

I copied two of them from your list ;-)

I love Queen II too but it was Sheer Heart Attack that made my subs bench.

From The Inside is a really good album.

Going back to the subs bench, these ten were all contenders:

Sheer Heart Attack - Queen
Definitely Maybe - Oasis
Rumours - Fleetwood Mac
Crime of the Century - Supertramp
Rising - Rainbow
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
Angel - Angel
Grand Illusion - Styx
Live - Mott the Hoople
Band on the Run - Wings

Quality episode.

The Divine Comedy were pretty good as well back in the day. I think Neil Hannon wrote my lovely horse and the theme tune to Father Ted.

Really thought about this with it being about the albums that had an effect on your rather than your favourites - which most are - but theres a few that made me feel things rather than just had me singing along to them.

sparkle in the rain - simple minds
cafe bleu - the style council
kiss me, kiss me, kiss me - the cure
doolittle - pixies
galaxie 500 - today
dark side of the moon - pink floyd
astral weeks - van morrison
melody AM - royksopp
angel dust - faith no more
lovage - music to make love to your old lady by
