10 Games In, your Thoughts?

The way we are playing at the moment, mid table. We are so much better than this, but its just not happening.
 
10 games in and I'm thinking this is why I love the Premiership. I still think we will finish 2nd like I did before the season started.

The only thing I have not liked is UEFA, fuck 'em. I'll watch those matches from my armchair.

Been disappointed with the quality of football in the premiership this season so far.

As for us we are about where we deserve to be points wise but a number of performances have been very lack lustre.

All in all we are 7-4-5 which is not what the side is capable of so all in all a bit disappointed.

Getting knocked out of two competitions in all likelihood already is not too crash hot for sure.

We should finish in the top two but who knows we have to improve our quality and our results otherwise it will be a poor season.

We probably haven't made some of the hard decisions on certain players that we should have which might set us back a bit in Europe going forward but I think we have more up side provided we invest in the right players and start to progress the academy as it should to get the dividends required at the top level.
 
Looked at the fixtures before the season started and thought 20 points would be a good haul so no complaints. I realise we haven't dominated games from start to finish but we could easily have a few more points if we hadn't hit the woodwork so often.

It is the cups where we have shot ourselves in the foot. The Champs
league performance have been well documented but it is the hypocrisy of not giving a game to anyone in the EDS vs Newcastle that has disappointed me.

That said I have been around long enough to know that that using the term holistic is a sure sign of a bullshitter!! Before anyone comes back and says holistic means playing the same foation at every level - I don't think we are doing that either

You really thought before the season started that would be a good return as reigning champs, bearing in mind the fixtures you were worried abt were all at home except arsenal away

24/25 minimum i was looking for.....
 
So far so good. Decent points haul after a difficult set of fixtures. On target for 82 points if we don't up our game and improve for the rest of the season (I think we'll kick into 1st gear at some point so will have a good chance of league title again)
 
Not too concerned with our league form.

The qquestion is whether the players will allow our crap cup form to fuck up PL performances
 
We've had a tough start but done ok in the harder fixtures, the biggest disappointments for me are the Stoke game and the way we seem to be playing so pedestrian and slow. But we're still 3rd with shitloads of points to play for having already faced Liverpool, Utd, Chelsea & Spurs.

Getting used to the media slating of our great club, most of them are bitter ex-rags or Mourinho fanboys so it's no surprise they hate us. Imagine how much shit we'd get if we were, say, 8th in the league after spending over £150 mill in summer and getting a Dutch "tactical genius" as manager.

More disappointed with FFP than the team, we've done the best we can with our hands tied. Get through this season then tell UEFA, Platini, Gill and all the other cheating tossers to fuck off and let's really strengthen the first team. Those cunts will learn not to fuck about with Sheikh Mansour.
