Do you think Grealish will ever reach prime KDB level.....ie one of the top 5 players in the world?
I certainly dont and have seen nothing ever to make me think he can get to that level....there is a lot of adulation around Grealish but Im not sure why.....Foden is twice the player and was before we bought Grealish who is a few years older. Bernardo, likewise is light years ahead of Grealish in every aspect of their games...
Personally I think there’s a host of young players that’ll sit ahead of Jack in the “best in the world” stakes. We’re lucky that we might just have one of them home grown and a life long blue. The price might suggest it, but I’m not sure best in the world is the yard stick we need to measure Jack by.

What I’m sure of though, like with every Pep signing to date (other than maybe Dias), we likely won’t see the best of Grealish until next season. There’s a certain level of first season underperformance that I think we have to accept when players make the leap into a Guardiola setup. I genuinely think the tactical complexity of his systems requires a season or more for newcomers to truly grasp and thrive in.

Jack has all the tools to succeed, and I can only say it’s testament to his ability that he’s not looked light years behind so far. Either Pep is happy, or someone might have mentioned that we spent a fair bit of money on him, and it’d seem a waste not to get some value for it?

Will be a top player for us. Whether he's worth 100m is an academic question. Btw, a year ago Bernardo was on 0 assists and 0 goals. Many were doubtful about his future. Same with Gundogan, Rodri etc. Grealish is an wonderful player and he will show it already this season.
the money is irrelevant to me.
the performances are the most important thing. I never doubted Bernardo Silva....you could always see the potential and ability

We have recently been unable to rely on KDB due to injuries and subsequent lack of fitness. We got caught out that way with Sergio so perhaps that was in a few minds. Brilliant as Bernie has been this season, who would have predicted that when we first started to talk to Grealish? I agree that he doesn’t look top 5 in the world potential, but a likely increase in the requirement for home grown players makes an English core advantageous. He’s a good footballer and there are a lot of things the club has to take into account.
I actually said a couple of times in the transfer forum int he summer that B. Silva was the player we needed to focus on keeping and IF it was a question of either Grealish or Bernardo (and I know it never was) that i would have Bernardo every time.

If we get 5 good years out of him, and he plays an important role in winning us 3 - 6 major trophies, that's a good investment and he'll be welcome back to the club as a legend any time he wants. The more trophies he wins the better the investment. Any other measurements are silly and subjective if you ask me.

I wonder whether he needs to play more central for us. I don’t know if he can handle the responsibilities but I do like his game when he comes deep and dribbles us forward.

In the end I think he’s been very good early and more average recently but he seems to be finding his way which will take time. Can’t help but think there’s a different narrative about him this week if he buries a couple chances he’s been on the end of

Grealish will never reach the same planet as David Silva. One is a magician and the other is a showpony.
Show pony is harsh but Grealish will never get anywhere near the level of David Silva/Bernardo Silva.

The one problem that we have seen since his arrival is his off field distractions.

He's young, far too much money and a good looking dude, but IF he wants to be a world class footballer in a world class team, winning titles , he will have to sort out his life off the field and quickly.

He's sure to suceed with all the advice he receives on BM alone.

Pep will be thrilled that his job is being done for him by real experts.
