Yeh, you’ve said nowt. It’s a player performance thread. It’s been pretty balanced. Some mindlessly saying he’s shite, counter balanced by fanboys making stuff up.

Most fans seem to think he’s been underwhelming but happy to give him time to adjust. Which is fair in my opinion..

Think this comes down to trusting Pep-yes boring I know. However I could see easily the merits of Rodri and Gundogan but am struggling with Grealish compared to what we already have. Pep’s not got much wrong so this time next year I will delete this post if I’m not banned by then!

Yes that’s what I meant. I have watched football for decades but not sure I understand the tactics. If you would have asked me 5 years ago about inverted wingers full backs false 9’s Ederson etc I wouldn’t have had a clue so Pep probably has a plan.

If you asked me now I wouldn't have a clue. I thought that a double pivot was something that Torville and Dean did.
I was confused for a long time that 4 4 2 didn't add up to 11.

Say what you want, but I haven't been this delighted by a player in FIFA, since like Kyle Walker addition to my squad :D

I have been using Jack as a False9, unfortunately this means that GJ was dropped and after so many seasons, I had to bench him, even though he was and is a great False9 as well... :(

But Jack is something phenomenal.. Totally worth that 100m..

BTW my FIFA22 squad (I know that you are interested..)

There's no need to worry of Grealish's pedestrian start. Cast you mind back to Merlin's first season, to see where a slow start can lead. Grealish's issue is only that he cost so much that expectations are much higher, and especially after he played up the expectations of himself in interviews. More of a worry is his partying, which suggests he doesn't grasp the seriousness of his situation.

Out of curiosity what were your thoughts on Mahrez when he joined i see similar issues with him at the beginning and grealish now and mahrez has done pretty well outside his first season hes gotten better every season
