Having impact, like today’s goal, gives me enough confidence that he’ll kick on next season, like the other players we’ve brought in who’ve done so. A year’s worth of film, in the system, is worth so much more than film for Villa and England, and should give Pep the insight he needs.

Decent performance today with a VERY important goal. Played Jack!

exactly this … he’s a easy target, when Kev, Bernie , mahrez, Zini etc were all in affective in first half. Jack is a easy target cos he’s not a fans favourite.

I think that is untrue: we don't buy players to shoehorn them in. He is clearly a talented player and may well shift position, but he has had another good game, today. Foden isn't a winger either, IMO, but he plays and, more often than not, he plays wide left.

He needs to shoot more but Pep way it’s more to do about ball retention and build up.

When he is allowed to play he is good. Pep needs to allow this more. I wouldn’t start him next week against Villa though.
