Thought he looked decent, and looked relieved to get a goal out the way. Played it pretty safe most of the time though.

Will be more interested to see how he performs with creative players like KdB and Foden around.
 
Didn't think he really fitted in with our style tbh. Should come with time. Didn't have a bad game or anything, but nothing really came off today from what I could see.

Very early days obviously but I think he’ll be much better in our team as a number 8. Playing on the left of a front 3 for us it’ll be 2 men on him and him constantly cutting inside. Foden is so important as he’s the one player who can stretch teams for by going on the outside when on the left.
 
Got his goal, very happy for him.

Personally think he will probably play more as an 8 in the future. Didn't do too bad there last game. Nice to know there's that versatility to him.

Did alright at best. Had a lot of the ball in a lot fi space but didn't really do anything with it. dribbled to the box then when the defender stood him up it was a pass backwards and go again. Type of performance mahrez was getting absolutely slaughtered for not long ago.

I've no idea what point you are trying to make, if any? I'm well aware of how many games he's played. I was evaluating his performance today, of course he's going to get better as he settles.

What the bloody hell were you expecting! Can’t have been hard to see he was a class act when at Villa and in England cameos. Miles more to come from him than today where in reality he didn’t do as great deal besides shin one in and some nice touches.

Knew he was a good player, but can't say I've watched him religiously whilst not at City, or even much at all to the fact.

So knew he was a good player, but thought he fit into the team without looking out of place or needing to step up!

Happy days.
 
He got double teamed all game and then tripled team when Cancelo got involved, Pep will suss out how to use him for the best but one thing you can’t deny when the ball goes to him there is a deffo murmur and expectation from the crowd.
