I've been watching Jack's career since he was a skinny kid.

I've seen him make a million stupid mistakes off the pitch. I've seen him go on a 20-match losing streak. I've seen him absolutely run the show in big games against big teams (I saw him put in an incredible performance at Wembley against Liverpool at the age of 19, it was an FA Cup semifinal and he was hugely inexperienced and they simply couldn't handle him). I've seen opposition players hack him down, and their fans call him every name under the sun, punch him on the pitch, taunt him about his brother's death. I've seen him suffer an injury that threatened his career and his life.

No matter the obstacle, Jack always comes back stronger. If he's suffering a lack of confidence or form right now, it won't last. All he needs is an arm around his shoulders and a little bit of responsibility and expectation.

Cheers for sharing that.
Slowly , slowly, catchee monkey for Jack.

Hopefully, Jack's big moment this season is coming, he'll pop up with a vital assist or goal, or maybe both.

That doesnt sound anything like the player who was terrorising defences at Villa.....i wonder why?
Maybe because he wasnt? Certainly not consistently ....I dont even remember him performing against us when we played they.....I remember a goal he scored against the rags once (curled one in from the right hand side of the area I think) but I dont believe her was terrorising anyone on a consistent basis.

At present what I see from him is a lot of controlled possession (probably why Pep wants him) and movement to create space for others but nothing more....Foden for instance is a class or 2 above him in every department however, as is Bernardo...KDB goes without saying. Grealish is offering very little in terms of attacking threat

The only ones who have set their stalls out early are the ones who claim he has been good or super or outstanding when he he has largely been shite ....
The delusion of certain posters is hilarious...
Everyone hopes he turns a corner. But to claim he is already outstanding is verging on the bizarre.
Spot on...desperate for him to come good as it means we have a world beater on our hands (another one)

Hopefully next season he will kick on

like many before him, I feel it takes 12 months to bed into Pep's system. Hopefully that's the case with Jack and he'll push on next season.

What’s our record been with him in the team this year? Although I don’t think he’s done great in terms of direct goal involvements, I do think he’s very very good in terms of creating space for others and they’ve capitalised on it most times he’s played.

Last season, before his injury, he was one of the best players in the league.

Dynamic, direct, tricky, near-impossible to dispossess, nice interplay with his teammates, always looking to set someone up for an easy finish, and confident to take shots from around the edge of the area.
