I might be wrong (I’ve not read every post) but I don’t believe this is the case. I think his contribution in the final 3rd has been questioned and I think that’s fair, when you look at his G/A record since he came to the club. He’s playing wide forward in one of the best attacking sides in world football, G/A should be a given really and Jack has said it himself in interviews that he needs to score and assist more. He’s doing that now and therefore I don’t think it’s a case of people being quiet or hiding, it’s a case of Grealish delivering exactly what they’ve been asking for.
You mustn’t have been reading very closely. Some of the stuff posted about him has been pathetic. Even in threads that have fuck all to do with him
His ball retention, particularly under pressure, has been top class since he arrived and is so important. Especially during some of our poorer performances, when others who seem determined to needlessly give it away with alarming regularity get a free pass

I cant think of a City player I've ever seen whose game is so visibly affected by his level of confidence.

You know for a fact he is FEELING it right now.

Tough and outgoing as he looks from outside, Grealish always needs the manager to act more like a father figure and support him emotionally. Tim Sherwood and Dean Smith all said so. Grealish himself admitted it in an interview before WC. He needs some arms around his shoulders. He needs someone like Dean Smith or John Terry around. It might give Pep some hint.

Pep used to be like a father-brother style coach in his early career. But at City he keeps a healthy distance to most of the players and let his assistant coaches to stay closer to the players. Perhaps this season he adjusts a bit or the new assistant has a different style.

Really pleased for the kid.Despite being required to change his game from the instinctive, free role,he had been playing for years at Villa......he has become integral to the way we operate and is without doubt one of our better players at the minute.

He's a player who desperately needs to be loved, I think.

It's not immediately obvious because he so clearly thrives on the hostility of his opponents.

But I think he really needs that solid base of the manager looking after him, his teammates depending on him and the fans singing his name.

I remember a year or two ago Pep saying he has to figure out what players need from him (this was about Cancelo so perhaps hasn't aged so well) - whatever he's doing to empower Jack certainly seems to be working.

A lovely player and a lovely bloke. We just need to support our players, that is it. Have a look at his passion for KDB's goal, as well as his own goal, and it is clear that he is one of us.

Truly, it is the case, just as it has been for other players too. If it was just about what you say, then few would have a problem with it. However, the posts, by some, have been inflammatory, unwarranted, and personal. It isn't difficult: support the players until they leave, or if they have harmed the club with their words or actions.

Here is just one post of many:
His undersized shorts, pulled down socks and ponsey haircut says everything about him. An absolute pre-madonna who is proving to make the money spent on Jo and RSC look like sale of the century. Against Watford his appalling finishing made Grealish their best defender. He even managed to block a goal bound shot. Today, he was useless yet again and his inability to miss an empty goal from 6 yards (He's a £100m player remember!) is beyond the joke. What the likes of Palmer must be thinking watching Grealish is anyone's guess!

i said earlier on this season that JG at £100m is better value for money than phillips at £45m, gomes at £25m and akanji at £15m.

I love the guy. Football fans are fickle. The same fans who were screaming for him to come off the bench for England during euro 20 (or 21) whilst he was at villa then thought him shit once he signed for city

If the quote in bold above is off here and a blue, said blue should come on and admit he got it wrong.

The quote is from here, from a blue, but it is only as bad as many others: He needs to also sort his personal shit out. Running about like a celebrity spice boy is alright when you do the business on the pitch. He's a bit like a pound shop Beckham at the moment.

We do not yet know the value of Phillips, nor Gomez, as both have hardly played. Give all players time and then we can judge.
