I'll always be a believer in the eye test. The only problem with that tho is some people have poor vision, tunnel vision, or an untrained eye perhaps effected by pre-conceptions, biases, personal dislikes and so forth (not saying that's you Keep). When assessing players today it helps to have data that indicates a player's value, good or bad. I get where you're calling analytics "American bullshit" but it really isn't. It's a big part of player evaluation today and it's not going away. Personally, I think some people put too much weight on just analytics, but these types of metrics are extremely valuable tools to managers and directors alike and when used to assist someone with a keen eye are a big plus. JMOEyes are the best things that show a players worth and Grealish has played a superb part in this team since the WC.
