He kind of made it clear at the end of last season that he struggled with the transition of going from untouchable at Villa to a team full of stars like City, used to play it way too safe last year.

I'm happy that he's been able to get past that as I think it was always going to be the most important factor on how he was going to perform for us. I feel like he actually played pretty decent before the world cup, but since he's come back, he's been a different beast.

Quickly becoming a fan favourite. Steadily improving and implementing himself in this team. The LW is his spot now. Dipper's defence were terrified today, TAA in particular. Long may it continue.

I think that he needs some kind of confidence. Some good finishers also have bad miss and they just keep trying and don't care. Grealish whenever he misses a chance he apologies and looks lost like my son breaks the glass...

Don't be afraid Jack. He needs to know we are all supporting him.
Thing is, up until very recently, many blues were not supporting him, so he can't really be blamed for not feeling they do even if he makes mistakes.

I've had confidence since he joined that he'd become the player we're seeing now, but I was definitely in the minority for a long time. FWIW, I think he's still got plenty of improvement to come, and that his finishing will improve step by step as he continues to improve under Pep.

I admire him because even if he didn't hit the ground running with us, there isn't a single fan that could ever doubt his effort. I can't think of a single time that he's phoned it in, even when things weren't coming off for him.

He's kept plugging away and getting better and better and now we're seeing why we bought him.
