He's human. Had one week where he's let it get to him. To call him an immature twat, which Kaz did, is an absolute overreaction. He gets kicked more than anyone else in the league. He's going to lose his temper eventually. If it's an ongoing long term problem then yes, complain, but it isn't yet is it? Just something to keep an eye on and nothing to worry about at all. I'm sure he'll calm and he'll be reminded my his teammates. Let's not pretend that we didn't see Sergio do this, or even Dias against Arsenal down near the corner flag. It happens. People are losing their heads over a minor issue, which is ironic.
Jack Grealish is the biggest wind up merchant in football, he is a master of it, and it's part of the game we did not have before he arrived.

He was and always seems to be in control, in fact to me he is a far better player when the opposition players/crowd do wind him up, as he uses it to motivate himself even further.

I don't think this is an over-reaction. Fulham saw him lose his head in the previous game and targeted him. Other teams will now target him even more. If he keeps acting like this, he will be sent off and miss crucial games. He applauded the referee sarcastically yesterday and could easily have received a second yellow card. We don't need that at this stage of the season. He needs to keep his emotions in check.

I don't think he did lose his head. Definitely didn't in the confrontation with TeTe. His outburst at the referee when he didn't get a foul wasn't worthy of a booking but some refs might have shown a, second, yellow and he probably shouldn't have applauded the ref giving a foul against him but, given how much he gets fouled, he seems to be in control.

If only we had a player in the team who could score goals to help him out
to be honest Haaland is very much a different type of finisher to Aguero. Haaland is a first time finisher who hits the ball before the keeper is even set. Aguero waits for the keeper takes touches and places it perfectly beyond the keeper. that is why I feel Aguero will be a better mentor for Jack.

Spot on.

He's got a bit of the shithouse and wum in him. Great to see someone give a bit back, we've been too nice for years.

Recently I feel like we've found some fire in the belly. Grealish, Rodri, Dias, Haaland, Ederson all straight on the scene for any potential kick off. Contrast it to when no fucker protected Lewis getting hoofed around the pitch vs Spurs. Give me this any day of the week.

Well fucking said, mate.

As expected, after one or two slightly less impressive performances and some unfair refereeing against him, the vultures are back out in the Grealish thread, trying to pick away at him for any minor thing.

The lad is the most fouled player in the Prem over the last few years. He gets kicked up and down the park every week, and now he plays for City, the media have successfully started a "Grealish is a diver" narrative which has gotta make it even harder for him to deal with, especially with arsehole refs who don't fairly punish people having a go at him.

He's not an idiot, nor is he immature. He's human and he's allowed to have a bit of a go when he's being unfairly treated. Personally I'm glad to see a City player with a bit of that back chat in them. Every other bloody team gets in the ref's face every five seconds and our squad has historically been passive as fuck when it comes to refs screwing us over. Obviously I don't want him getting sent off for dissent and he trod a fine line yesterday, but he was well within his rights.

As Keeper! said, I also think people don't realise how much Jack is in control of those kinds of situations. I see people in the match day thread accusing him of "losing his head" or getting in trouble, but if you actually pay attention, he's an absolute master of the wind up and knows exactly where the limits are and what buttons to push to get the other team riled up. You could see it in that cheeky grin he gave to the Fulham fans or the way he reacted to Savic back when we played Atletico. He knows what he's doing. He's not some Diego Costa headless moron, he's a lad who thrives when the crowd gets riled against him, and it only makes him even more dangerous.
