His pace over half a pitch is very good, it's just that over a few yards it's only OK. Which again might mean he'd have more joy centrally and slightly further back.

But Pep has a job for him on the wing - his gravity draws opponents over to his side of the pitch and that's what makes the space. He opens up the centre and the other wing - they don't want to congest the middle of the pitch further.

It is strange. Pep clearly sees him a touchline winger rather than an inverted one although almost all the others think in the other way. This topic contributed half of the pages here lol.

This season pep even said himself that he saw Grealish as a typical ten rather than other positions. Weird he never put him in a Bernado role to be a more utilized tool.

Perhaps one day we can ask Pep when he is happy to answer. :)

I thought he kept the ball well, won us a few fouls. Obviously, the whole team struggled throughout maybe with an exception of Josko and Nathan. Jack was average today for me.

The one overlooked reason as to why he doesn't go anywhere because no team will pay £250/300k as wages and big transfer fee. He will have to cost above £40m to even give us amortization profit

Was one of the few players who actually kept the ball in the first half. Won us the corner for the first goal and got absolutely no protection from the ref again. Think the team’s overall performance would have been better had he seen more of the ball.

As good as Gvardiol is, he needs to learn to pass to Grealish more and link up better with him on that side.

Luckless again getting a whack to the knee but at least there are no midweek games to worry about.

No matter how poorly he plays posters are still trying to conjur up something to praise him for. The simple fact is he neither scores nor creates enough . He needs to contribute more. He won the corner because of his uncanny knack of hitting the first man with his shot or cross. As it happened that worked out for city but it was by accident not design. Need something more from jack over these next few games. Hopefully he.produces it.

He strolls backs and offers little defensively. Alvarez showed how to do that when he went off covering for Guardiol. Breaking up play with free kicks is ok but zero creativity and lacks pace . His stats don't lie.
