Has anyone ever thought maybe he's just not at our level? He was by his own admission shite in the first season, had a purple patch in his second season and now according to pep shite last season.
I don't think he is good enough, ok he holds the ball well, talks all matey matey when interviewed, but what else does he do? Rarely goes past a player, Rarely scores. For the price we paid and his high wage I don't think it's unreasonable to expect more.
If villa offer us £50 million we should snap their hands off, but I don't think they will

It's almost impossible to find a buyer with the expected price tag, his wage demand, his antics/demeanor, etc.

He's almost 30 and still acting like this. We have cut kids in their 20's loose for having attitude problems. This Grealish situation has to be Pep’s biggest challenge as a manager.

Disappointing to read. For someone on £300k a week, the absolute bare minimum you expect is for the effort to be there in training.
Unless I’m missing something, it doesn’t mention effort, but that his performance in training was disappointing. That could well mean he wasn’t able to achieve the standard set for whatever reasons there may be.

Not to sound like someone who doesn't care but Yaya lost his younger brother in the 2013 - 2014 season, he didn't let that get in the way, if anything that was his best season for us. I think some of us are making this Jack robbery incident a little bit bigger than it actually is.
No but Yaya nearly burned all of his bridges at the club off the field. Every person reacts differently to difficult situations, that’s blatantly clear.

Same. He's probably the most polarizing player we've had in a while due to not scoring/assisting much and the off-pitch partying antics. But I think you can tell a lot about someone's footballing knowledge on if they rate him or not.
Kind off don't agree with this mate.

I watched a youtube vid by Graeme Souness about Jack and he doesn't think he's good enough for our team, too ponderous, slow in decision making and very predictable (back/sideways pass nearly every time he gets the ball), add to the fact that he hardly ever scores or assists.

Now I know he played for Liverpool but he was a really good player in his days and he's won shit loads of silverware both as player and manager.

Do you not rate his football knowledge ?

I was a Jack fan when he played at Villa but he frustrates me when he plays for us as we know exactly what he will do. I bear him no ill will but I much much prefer Doku on our left wing (or even Oscar). I was also a big fan of Sane.

Souness is full of shit, Jacks a quality player and similar to when people used to question Gundo, they're failing to see he's performing a specific role in a specific way not necessarily flattering for the player but beneficial to the team.

JT. Since when is Grealish a measuring stick for "footballing knowledge"?

So, because you rate him highly, you consider yourself more knowledgeable about football than someone who doesn't? Using what exactly—the Grealish measuring stick? Wow, how enlightened you are! I too hope to see the light someday and would love to belong to such an elite group!

Should we just rename the Likert scale to the Grealish scale? Or should we measure football knowledge using a system called the Grealish Football Scale, since it's a more precise measure of footballing knowledge?

Here is the thing, we have a lot of fans, whom have opinions and different tastes as you know. Fans that prefer certain players and clubs, certain football styles and philosophies.

So if a fan rates ELNENY, Phillips or Rashford and you happen not to, what happens? Who is more knowledgeable?
So if fan rates Mbappe and you do not, what happens in that case too? Asking for a fan.

Anyone who doesn’t think Grealish has been a disappointment this season hasn’t been paying attention. He’s not been starting and he hasn’t come off the bench in key moments. Sure, when we are 1 or 2 up and looking to kill off the game, he can come on, hold the ball, run around a bit and grab us a foul, but impact??? ZERO!

He is in danger of becoming a caricature of the persona he has created, with more social media impact than on the field.

Simple question: Who would pay what for him, and why?

Mate Souness knows what he's talking about, he's been a very successful manager and player. You may not like him, but he knows football.

As for Gundo, he's in an entirely different ballpark to Jack.

Also Pep is no longer picking Jack or even using him as a sub.

We badly needed a goal at Wembley, Pep did not put Jack on.
