Saw a lot of the ball first half and Cash should have been booked way earlier for all the fouls on him but nothing second half. We'd have been better bring doku on for Rico and moving Jack to the middle
But sadly so little comes from it.Saw a lot of the ball first half and Cash should have been booked way earlier for all the fouls on him but nothing second half. We'd have been better bring doku on for Rico and moving Jack to the middle
I don't think Pep wants him to score goalsSo are we officially past the one year mark without a goal now? For a winger. Well at least he looks arsed
Lol, well, we’ll probably be told that Pep instructed him not to score goals—when he’s 1v1 with the keeper, he should either pass it straight to the keeper or play it backward or sideways.I don't think Pep wants him to score goals
They weren’t blocked! His general play was ok but fuck me his end product is awful. Those shots!
What a ridiculous comment.I don't think Pep wants him to score goals
It's an interesting point, and I tend to agree. They seemed content to give him acres of space for that entire first half.he saw more of the ball because Emery wanted him to. he knew end product wont come from Grealish. he also asked Cash to foul him often. you can get away with that also if those fouls happen when attacking player has his back to the goal which is what Grealish doing 99% of the time.
I like the guy, seems like a genuine bloke who's down to earth and has played some sort of part in our most recent success.
But he typifies the start of our downfall for me. £100m is no longer the fee for quality like Aguero, De Bruyne or Yaya Toure....but a whole load of averageness and a path to mediocrity.
Before anyone starts, I know he can't help the fee. I'm not actually having a go at him, more the fact he's never been anywhere near good enough for where we want to be as a club.
Seen it yesterday first half at Villa who were more than happy for him to be the only City player in space. Why? Because he's of no threat whatsoever. Rarely scores or assists, rarely makes real incisive through balls or passes. Just controls it well and passes it sideways or backwards (to our admittedly static teammate's).
Needs gone, sorry Jack.
Jack's play when he was at Villa reflected his.personality. He was a joy to watch when in full flow.
Jack's play at City under Pep relects Pep’s rigid approach to his system. Pep has killed Jack's natural style.
You can take the lad out of Birmingham, but it helps if you let him bring his game with him.
Absolutely this!he is as technicaly skilled as Foden I was told when we bought him
he is the natural successor to KDB I was told when we bought him
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA......the team have carried him every season baring one half of one season since he has been here......
He has no creativity, no goal threat....teams leave him in space as they know he wont do anything....and he proves them right.
Not a very holistic approachAnother player who needs to move on.
