Far too sensible a post for this thread.Pep has a squad with lots of fatigue and injuries so he’s going to be pissed off if a player who hasn’t been available for us, makes themselves available for their national side.
But Jack, having missed the Euro’s, is going to want to be a part of England squads and probably, innocently, thought it would be a good way of finding some fitness. Pep would rather he’s rested up and then fully fit for us rather than breaking down again, and I’d side with him on that. Jack’s shown his commitment to City by flying up to Newcastle to play straight after the birth of his first child.
I don’t think it’s anything more than him wanting to play for his country and feeling it was a good decision. Pep’s had his say, Jack’s reversed his decision. We move on.
