10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

This is just rampant speculation, don’t present it as fact.

Pep said he was injured. pep said grealish wanted to go on international duty despite being injured. Grealish pulls out.

All those things are 100% facts and anybody that watched his presser can very easily piece those facts together, it's anything but "rampant speculation"

Personally I suspect it’s more to do with Stones than Grealish and setting new ground rules with the new England management. Kick up a fuss with the caretaker, make sure the FA know he’s not happy with the treatment of players when on international duty, and then by March a new coach is in that isn’t involved in the row.
Now here's your rampant speculation. Pep goes as close as to calling out one of his players in public as he's ever been buts it's not even about him, it's all a coded message about Stones... Rawk would welcome you with open arms.

Pep has a squad with lots of fatigue and injuries so he’s going to be pissed off if a player who hasn’t been available for us, makes themselves available for their national side.

But Jack, having missed the Euro’s, is going to want to be a part of England squads and probably, innocently, thought it would be a good way of finding some fitness. Pep would rather he’s rested up and then fully fit for us rather than breaking down again, and I’d side with him on that. Jack’s shown his commitment to City by flying up to Newcastle to play straight after the birth of his first child.

I don’t think it’s anything more than him wanting to play for his country and feeling it was a good decision. Pep’s had his say, Jack’s reversed his decision. We move on.
Far too sensible a post for this thread.

Grealish is the new whipping boy; 121 pages and counting.

What do you mean minimal information?

We are watching a press conference where the manger of our club is asked about that situation, and portrays to us all that he was less than impressed, with their still being enough time for JG to withdraw, but didn't until yesterday.

Now your "guess" is trying to say that you fully supported the player which is kind of undermining the person that matters the most in all this pantomime, so with him eventually withdrawing, even though he turned up at the camp, possibly and probably against his managers wish, so a line could now be drawn under it....then again who knows, maybe we do all have to keep guessing as what the future brings.

But and this is the money shot now, he chose his country over his wage paying club, and that cannot be denied whatever way you look at it, unless of course nobody wants to see it like that, well I do and did, not the smartest move he will ever make, but he's full of them ideologies in his mind, got form for being a tit.

I want the best for our team, as any fan would

Yes, minimal information. Mentioning the same info twice doesn't make it count as double.

You're welcome to interpret the situation as you want. We've all got to keep ourselves entertained throughout the international break.

The bottom line is that we probably won't know for sure for at least a few weeks. But I'd imagine Pep, as annoyed as he might have been, won't take it all as personally as you seem to.

In pre-season looked like he could get back in to contention although as the season has currently unfolded not in great form (although partially down to injuries.) Hopefully after this International break he can at least help out with the injuries, fitness and perhaps hunger issues with the squad.

Was hoping for a refreshed Jack this season but injuries seemed to have put that on hold…….needs to get fit and produce otherwise I reckon it’ll be goodbye at the end of the season
With two years left on his contract in the summer there may be a decision to be made. The club could offer him an extension but this is highly unlikely I'd suggest. That leaves the other option of looking to sell rather than take the risk of him being down to his final year in 2026.

Pep said he was injured. pep said grealish wanted to go on international duty despite being injured. Grealish pulls out.

All those things are 100% facts

Correct. What’s not a fact is you saying Grealish pulled out because Pep was angry at him or that it was a bad judgement call and whatever else your imagination is cooking up.

I’m not saying no one can speculate, I’m saying keep facts and wild speculation separate and don’t mix them up. I made it clear I was speculating, I didn’t just pass off my wild theories as facts and then repeatedly refer to them as FACTS.
