10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

He has 6 months to fight for his future. I don't see a problem with Pep trying motivate Jack Grealish through the media either.

Me neither. Jacks reaction to this will make or break him here, I would like to think he’ll pull his tripe out, but he could have simply thought he’d cracked it after the treble season. In that case, off he pops, we need hungry players.

Exactly this. Pep sees him every day and by this time knows what he will get from Jack. Flashes of genius but far too little return to be relied upo
this guy inverted stones into midfield and won a treble but doesnt know where to play grealish is what im supposed to believe.

I think those were exactly his instructions. Keep the ball at all costs. If pep wanted us to attack he’d have brought on Doku.

We got back some control when Jack came on.
Lmao another same nonsense post.

We GoT cOnTrOl when he came . Its absolutely nonsense which PR agents will keep on trying to hammer

I would say Grealish is in the last chance saloon at the very best, probably knows he is finished here and hence the speculation about Spurs/Newcastle.

He has had a shocking season and even worse coming off the back of been dropped by England for the Euros. He said all the right things in the summer, seemed motivated for the first few weeks but then reverted back to normal.

Just looking at him at the moment he doesn't look right at all, he looks half baked half the time.

Realistically he can’t really improve much more at 29. Only way he makes it in this team is by playing in the middle, and I don’t think Pep’s going to do that in the next 6 months.

Injuries have also been a factor in him not really able to deliver more but football now is a lot more about output, we used to get onto Mahrez and Sterling for not doing more, but when you as a forward player go 36 games/a calendar year without scoring, it is seriously alarming.

Would be best if he looks elsewhere in the summer imo, a change of scenery might do him good.

Was never worth £100 million but he didn’t set that price either but he has struggled since he’s been but you could also argue that we have not used him like Villa did either so it’s id say everyone has to put their hands up and say this one has not worked out and time for him to move back to Villa in the summer .

He was worth 100m!

Tell you why you ask any fan manager before signing him! You spend 100m on a player he has one good season in 4 but that season the team wins the perfect treble that player plays majority of games in that season contributed to the control the team had and made them defensively sound, would you buy that player for 100m? Which fan manager would say nahh mate rather have player who has four good seasons!

Don't forget that treble season is the only season Grealish was injury free..

Now though think then player himself is looking at a new challenge where he can relax for the remaining of his career! America Saudi? Maybe bit to soon for him but if he wants lest pressure an easy life with his family he might think it's the right move! Other than that he will stick around be a bit time player run down his contract leave for nought in 2 years..

One of the most popular threads on Bluemoon but also, IMO, the dullest.
If you support players who play for Manchester City, this thread will never be one that is easy to understand. He hasn't played recently, but still comes in for condemnation or stats posts highlighted that do just that.

It has always been a factor within our fanbase, from FFS Mahrez, to Plodri, Raheem, Edgy, Boo Bowyer, and so on. Often undeserved, and utterly dull. Opinions and constructive criticism are part of the purpose of an internet forum. Relentless negative targeting is not for me.

I hope that Jack Grealish returns to full health and form and stays as part of the decade's most successful team. Should he move on, I would offer my best wishes for the future. The hate here, and that is what it is, saddens me.
