That is very true. His performances are ok when De Bruyne/Bernardo/ Gundogan are weighing in with the assists and goals from midfield and Haaland is running riot but on the occasions we need Grealish to step up it rarely happens.

There might be others, but I can only think of Leeds away where he has been the ‘main man’ and shifted the course of the game in our direction.

When you think of matches like Bernardo v Real
Madrid/Liverpool 2019, KDB v Arsenal/Chelsea, Foden and Haaland in the 6-3 derby, Gundog Fa Cup final v United, Rodri v Inter etc when we have needed them most, on the biggest stages they have stepped up.

Now those players are struggling, sadly Grealish won’t be the player to carry the torch and will remain a bit part player.

My opinion of Grealish has not changed since he joined - an average player who can fulfil a role within our system (but so can others) but offers little individually. He doesnt create or score goals anywhere near enough. His biggest positive is he retains possession but then again so do most of our players.
Someone tried to say he was as technically gifted Foden before he joined - absolutely laughable
Nice guy no doubt but we he hasnt done enough to justify the ratings he gets - nowhere near enough.
 
Heard from a mate today that he's been on late night piss ups again. Reliable as well. Do footballers not know that this kind of stuff affects performance?

No disrespect but I take “mate says” posts on social media with a pinch of salt. Without provenance, I’ll generally give the smear target the benefit of any doubt.

Grealish going out and getting absolutely shitfaced even during this season is not just some rumour. How much he does it is i suppose the thing we don’t actually know.
