Who is this “we” of whom you speak?

As for Grealish making us look better, I’m not sure. Tbh, Grealish and Foden have both been absolute dogshit for most of the year, but Pep’s “team” is really a “system,” and when the system breaks down, the whole thing looks broken.

The players only look good when they have passing options and the movement is positive. Any time there are no options, or only marginal options, we give the ball away and we are just not a good team without the ball and with the opposition in our own half.

Pep’s system is “we have the ball and we are camped in their half…now, world class players, do your thing!”
Correct.

I think people will still be arguing about him when he’s long gone from City.

Can you imagine what it would be like on here if he moves on and starts turning in some top performances? It would be absolute carnage!
If he's given that free role again in a lesser team I've no doubt he will shine again. He's obviously not a winger.

There is position on the field, and there is role in the team. Grealish’s role in the team, certainly at City, has been to be involved in the buildup, and maintain and circulate possession. That is the job of an attacking midfielder, albeit one playing off the left touchline

Rashford, conversely, is a forward player who operates cutting in from the left. His job is to score goals. He has also played in a more central role upfront many times, including the majority of the 22/23 season when he scored 30 goals in all competitions
Okay good. Not everyone plays like City and Grealish was clearly a left wing all his life before this „ build up“ y‘all be talking about. If that was his pure job he would still start for city since he didn’t change anything about his play style. He just can’t score it’s just an excuse at this point.

H isn't a left winger. Played central for Villa a lot in a three, sometimes left of that three but quite narrow.
It is time to go for Jack, can't see any way it turns around. I just simply cannot ignore his impact on the greatest season of our clubs history.

He had an outstanding 6 months in 4 seasons, he sadly has been a terrible signing.

Yep, but what a 6 months hey? That doesn't make him a good signing but he was integral to a treble winning side. Whilst he may not have been worthy of the price tag (City paid it, he didn't set it) and whilst he has flattered to deceive since, it cannot be terrible given the magnitude of that season he was so outstanding in.

It wasn't a good signing by any stretch. I can't call it terrible though based on the above. He is a confidence player with us and I can't remember the last time he got a run of games to gain that confidence either through injury or Pep not fancying him

100m fee and 300k plus a week for a purple 6 months, he played his part in the treble but he is still a very poor signing.

Pep’s system is “we have the ball and we are camped in their half…now, world class players, do your thing!”

And the opposition system is "we'll set up a defensive 8 or 9 man system and when you lose the ball we'll lob it 20 yards behind your high line defence and outrun you to get in on your goal. One shot one goal."

So predictable and limited without the centre mid (Rodri) and without the youthful KDB and Gundogan making the forward runs.

But back to Jack, he either can't play Pep system or has pissed on Pep's chips. If Pep stays then Jack will need to go or drift off into Gazza-land.

Understand pep may not like his off field antics but tbf are they worse than Walkers and we let him be captain. I don’t think Grealish ever lets us down when he plays either. In fact I think we always look better with him in the side

Agree with this.

Integral you say entire unit was integral every fucking one was integral

Hell Kev was incredible x 3
Rodri was massive that back line stood against everything everyone was massive stop fucking playing down contributions of other players who were massive entire season season before that too
