10 | Rayan Cherki - 2025/26

Ive only seen his goal tonight but the way he went from trotting to intense was very encouraging, and his happiness at scoring was brilliant to see

He hesitated to release Erling, taking one or two extra touches, but with time he'll get used to having a monster up front and needing to pass him the ball first time, and the cyborg will do the rest. A beautiful goal and a lovely backheel from Ait Nouri to escape a 2v1 press.

I think he already is to be fair. He’s usually looking to play Haaland in early. Think that was a complete one off and it looked quite easy for him. Only thing i can think was the defender was in line with him at first so he took the extra touch.

Anyway i don’t think that will happen very often. What a footballer we’ve got there!

Still annoyed he didn't release the ball quickly enough for Haaland when he came on but that's almost a compliment as you expect him to be decisive every time he's in the final third.
Yeah thats the difference right now between him and KDB. Thats a sure shot 1 on 1 with KDB on the ball. That not criticizing him or anything just pointing it out. That said he is much better than Kevin in small spaces and probably takes on his man better as well. A bit different but probably our most creative player right now.

Think he is my favourite player already! So talented, we are lucky to have him. Having said that I can see Pep not starting him on Sunday as I don't think he is quite ready to put a shift in for a full game and Pep will go with Rudolf. Its not a slight on Rayan, he has been injured and is only just getting back to fitness, can you imagine how good he could be in a couple of months if he stays fit and gets the stamina ?!

Get that but for me he has to start, like against a high press team in Bournemouth better to have him unleash his bag of tricks then take him off when he gets tired. I don't want us to give Liverpool a fast start, we should go for them from the off.

A few months back a Fulham fan down the gym said to me you did well to not sign Wirtz, you got a far more talented player at a fraction of the cost. Said he had watched a lot of him and said you’re in for a wild ride, said he’s maybe the most naturally talented player he has seen since Messi in the past quarter of a century. Initially thought he may have been being OTT with waxing so lyrical but he’s a massive football fan that knows his shit. I’m thinking he may have had a point…
Think even Pep alluded to this (mostly talented since Messi). So that says quite a lot.
