This is all bollocks, dumb scousers on the dailyfail article making the dumb argument that "He wouldn't do that to a male official".

The official wouldn't act like a fannywipe about it either because Aguero wasn't even being aggressive about it, he was just pleading his case.
That's where i disagree, and why i have issue.I thought it was aggressive, you could see it i his eyes,it was a momentary red mist reaction to a decision he didn't like, and, even though it's wrong either way......i would hope that his conduct wasn't in any way a consequence of the officials gender.Only Sergio knows the answer to that, despite him being 'one of the nicest guys ever'

Blue glasses off, it was patronizing and awkward, to say the least. I wouldn't want Aguero to be punished but there could be a rule change in the future.

He’s very fortunate to receive no sanction. It could quite easily been blown out of proportion. Still he is ‘one of the nicest guys ever’. Great to have Kun back above all else.

He’s not “very fortunate” at all. It’s a yellow card offence if cited and yellows can’t be given retrospectively. He’s received the rule of (football) law.

I think it's two separate things here and that is what leads to confusion:
1) Yes, at worst it's a yellow in my opinion even if following strictly the rules, and obviously the gender is completely irrelevant in such context, i.e. no big deal.
2) And yes, even just by watching it on a stream it felt fucking awkward what and how he did it, and irrespective of his intentions, which could have been totally all right of course, you cannot anymore just disregard the linesman's gender.

That being said, I think it would have been nice to acknowledge this from Aguero via social media, and well Pep was just being Pep, with his classic confusing and socially awkward response on the topic. :D Still better handled than the Bernardo stuff...

But banning him or so would have been ridiculous.

He shouldn't, he should keep his hands off all the officials when arguing, it's asking for trouble.

It's not a good idea because, regardless of gender, some officials could, as you point out, use it as an excuse to card a player. However, if the player is not being disrespectful or aggressive, there's no offence.

I was there when Kev Horlock was sent off for walking aggressively so you can never count out stupidity on an official's part.

Lol media driven bollocks , no doubt dipper led , they are scared to see him back

Sergio Aguero will not be forced to make an apology after the incident with assistant referee Sian Massey-Ellis. #ManCity have drawn a line under the incident and consider it dealt with, as Aguero will face no action over the incident. [
