Just the thread we needed. Really kicks off the Christmas spirit.

We should have an anniversary thread for every defeat we’ve had to a rival.
That would beat the number of pages devoted to 115.
“Great defeats I have known”….er no thanks.

Happy New Year will probably ring in with a thread on how the Scouse twats did us 6-0 and 4-0 in a week ;)
What made it even more fun was that we turned up about five minutes late, to be greeted by a cheeky chappy scouse copper on the turnstiles who kindly informed us that.... You Manc cunts are already 2-0 down you know.

I think it’s worth marking to give some posters an opportunity to develop some perspective.

That campaign was far more depressing than last season. We had discernibly declined as a force on the pitch. People forget that about Pep. He took over a team in dreadful decline.

Hated that game. Was sat in the third tier of the East Stand where you get a better sense of the overall pattern of play, and we were all over the place.

Wonder how different things would have turned out if we hadn’t scraped a CL spot on the final day.

Was that the game we brought the Swiss player, Fernandes? on as a left winger, if it is I had nearly managed to erase it from my memory. Thanks for nothing;-)
I think you're thinking of Fernando. I remember the team coming out and feeling that we looked very weak in midfield mainly because Fernadinio wasn't playing.

Ahh yes Kloppys first season.
I wonder if they were all on the inhalers at this point?

Seem to remember that three out of four defenders were Sagna, Mangala and Demichelis. Nothing wrong with Demichelis, he helped us a lot in 2014, but this was a horror show. Also probably when I felt that the Dippers were there to stay for some time. But we really can’t complain about what happened afterwards.
Demi was a good central defender unlike Mangala.

I’d forgotten how shit Liverpool’s team was for that game. How the fuck we were so poor and lost so heavily to that side shows how alarming our displays were under Pellegrini beyond his first season.

Our team there is miles better than theirs.
Klopp's first season at Liverpool. New manager bounce and an unfamiliar gegenpress.
